Nothing disrupts a dinner party like a racist cake-throwing orphan on a rampage.

"Sorcerer" isn't a race, it's a profession.

Well, technically, since sorcerous abilities can be inherited...

That's the fluff, at least.

Levitate Object is the new Prestidigitation.

Funny, in my group Prestidigation is described as "you can do anything that's completely useless."

Indeed, since that's how Prestidigitation is supposed to work- I've had a few GMs who must have missed the "cannot replicate another spell" bit, though.

Heh... I personally never had any trouble with Prestidigitation shenigans.

Some groups have players who try to argue that splitting an atom is acceptable within that spell.

I'll admit, I'm sort of that kind of player, though I won't seek out hurt for my character, I leave that to the DM. There's a difference between masochism and self-flagellation.

Also, I have trouble believing someone could have fun if everything always went right for their character. In that case, roleplaying is basically wish-fulfillment.

Wait, since when wasn't that an ability of the spell?

Jokes aside, it know occurs to me that you could theoretically use prestidigitation to create radioactive material and slowly kill the main bad guy of most campaigns with radiation poisoning by sending the party rogue to sneak the rock into the enemy dungeon.

...

Interesting.

But Prestidigitation says that you can't deal damage at all! :P

Ah, but it says nothing about inflicting debilitating effects that then deal damage! Exact words, indeed! :P
