The walls break as Friesden hits them, but leaves her with a positively dreadful migraine.

((Gotcha))

Falcata loses her grip as Friesden slams into the water.  She tumbles underwater for what feels like an eternity, fighting to right herself.  She wasn't much of a swimmer, so she would never make it to the prisoners before drowning.

Her mind races as she tries to think of a spell to help.  Something... anything... inspiration!  Her horn flickers for a moment before the water around her flashs to air, contained in an ethereal bubble.  She sinks to the bottom, enshrouded by the pocket of air.

Friesden wouldn't be able to open the cells without her keys...

She rushes off to assist Friesden, intent on reaching the emergency shutoff immediately thereafter.

'What the...my head! Damn it. What caused that?'

She grabs as many of the prisoners as she can, and swims hard for the surface.

Friesden finds herself face-to-face with Falcata moments later.  The water around her disappears abruptly as she passes into the magical air bubble, dropping her and the prisoners onto the floor.  Falcata takes stock of the ponies around her.

(( I thought there were somewhere around ten prisoners in the cell block from the raids? oh, and I'm keeping a death grip on Nicolta so that makes 12 ponies total give or take.))

((i'm so dead for this...))
One of the broken pipes had contained some leeches, and were now latching on to anypony they could find.

((Alright then, Friesden should have all of the prisoners))

Couth and Nicolta... that was everypony as far as she knew.  Falcata points back toward the stairwell and says, "Come on, I can't keep this up much longer."

She focuses again, forming a new bubble behind her.  She steps back into it and says,"Go on and get them to safety, I'm going to shut off the water from the Duchess' office."

That could be a big mistake.  She didn't use her magic often, and keeping the two bubbles up was tiring her quickly.

The leeches sense the ponies in the bubble and rushes towards it.

As they speak, the second bubble Falcata created flickers and collapses with a rush of foam.  She scrabbles into the original bubble beside Friesden, gasping for air as she reaches it.  She chokes for her breath for a few moments and nods.

"You... you're right.  Come on, I don't know how much longer I can keep this up."

((Would the living quarters be underwater too?  Could be a lot of ponies in trouble if so, I'm sure not everypony attended the trial))

It's leeches. Not leaches.

Falcata's eyes widen as she feels the magic drain from her even faster.  Keeping the bubble up was becoming too difficult...  She sees the leeches and alters the spell to let them pass through like a pony.

She continues forward, ignoring the vermin now that they were inside.  They might suck her blood, but she didn't want to be sucking water right now.  Any leeches that don't get out of the way are crushed beneath her hooves.
