"Hehehehe...aww...What's wrong? I'M ONLY TRYING TO KILL YOU!" snears the daemon. He then runs at Khenal while holding shadowy knife.

[Khenal]

I stand my ground and meet the daemon and it's blade with Carrot's Loyalty.  The impact is fierce, and I slide a few feet back, but the attack is blocked.  I glare into Cockroach's eyes over our crossed blades before falling back a step, trying to send the daemon off balance and driving a slash at it's head.

[The Master]

The slash connects and Cockroach's head slices clean off. The body slumps to the ground lifeless. Now all Khenal and Friesden is figure a way out. The most obvious option is to open the door located on the right of desk Friesden slammed into. The other option would be the LEAST obvious...

[Khenal]

I eye the corpse wearily, unconvinced that Cockroach is dead.

'Still, he's not actively trying to kill us right this moment.'  I walk over to Friesden to see if she's alright.

"How are you doing, Friesden?"

[Dsarker]

"Fine!"

It's quite clear that she has broken several bones.

[Khenal]

'Not so fine.  Her mental defenses look very poor.  She lived with Schmoe for far too long.'

"Are you sure?  Can you walk?  We need to get out of here before Cockroach springs any more tricks on us."

[The Master]

As if on cue, the room begins to crumble with them still inside. One of the walls crumble to debris and reveals nothing but a void outside.

[Dsarker]

"Oh, yes!"

She walks, no, runs over to Khenal. She seems to be enjoying the pain immensely.

[The Master]

The ceiling begins to creek as the entire room slowly dissolves into dust. Khenal and Friesden have about a minute(relative to them) to escape.

[Khenal]

'Really creepy, but at least she can move.'

"Then check the door!  I'm going to look for something by Cockroach's body.  I think he had a secret way out of here."

[Dsarker]

"Do you have any ideas?"

[Khenal]

"...Yes."

I grab Cockroach's head and look into the neck hole, before nodding and pointing it towards Friesden.

"Hop in."

As Friesden and Khenal hop inside the head, Khenal takes the opportunity to smile, because he knows that even a cockroach can't survive without it's head...for long.
