[Telgin]

Falcata barely contains a chuckle at the sight.  "Perhaps we should give you two some time to prepare?  It's been a few months since anypony has set hoof in your home."  She starts to consider what in the world she was going to say to Charity or the rest of her family.  Cryptson was right about that, this was the most bizarre thing that could probably have happened.  She wasn't entirely sure she believed it herself.

[Dsarker]

"Um...Falcata, c-c-c-can I talk to you in private? It won't be too long. Please?"

[Telgin]

"Hmm?  Oh, of course."  Falcata steps off to speak with her privately.  She wondered what Friesden could have to say...

[Dsarker]

"I-I-I-I-I-I just want to say I-I-I-I-I-I'm sorry! I-I-I-I-I-I-I tried to ask Luna to let me die instead of you, b-b-b-b-b-but she w-w-w-w-w-w-wouldn't let me! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Please, don't hate me, please!"

[Impending Doom]

The two pegasi head for the door. Before they leave, Otik turns back to Khenal.

"Khenal, would ye mind comin' along? We could use some help makin' th' place presentable."

[Telgin]

Falcata moves to hug Friesden.  "I'd never hate you Friesden... especially not for trying to help me."  She smiles at her.  "I'm sorry I couldn't come back too, but your life is every bit as important as mine.  Especially now that you're going to be a mom soon."

[Dsarker]

"T-t-t-thank you, thank you, thank you!" Friesden returns the hug. "You're the best friend I could ever have. I don't know what I'd have done, what I would do, without you. Thank you so much for still liking me."

[Khenal]

I watch Friesden talking with Falcata, unable to suppress a smile as they do.  I nod at Otik's question, thinking that Friesden and Falcata might have some catching up to do.

"Sure Otik.  I'd love to.  I... I missed you both... so much.  It'll be nice to help and catch up."

[Telgin]

"And I don't know what I would have done without you," Falcata replies, contemplating how she would have probably been dead over a year ago if it wasn't for Friesden.  How things would have turned out differently if she hadn't helped her... Charity might be dead... who knew what that might have meant.  And where would Kris be if she had been just a filly when her mother died?  Psychologically broken and living with Kukri or Dirk, most likely. 

If only Friesden really knew how much positive impact she'd had on her life, if not all of Glitterglen.

[Dsarker]

"I-i-i-i-i-if you ever need somepony to talk to, Luna told me that I'll be able to....So...Um...If you need to..."

[Telgin]

"Thank you," she says, holding the smile on her face.  "And if you need somepony to talk to, I'll be right here."  Her smile widens to a small grin.  "You're going to need all the help you can get when the babies come.  I might not be able to do much but offer some advice, but I did raise a filly, and I think she turned out okay," she jokes.

[Dsarker]

"Of course Kris turned out well!" Friesden says with an almost mortified look on her face. "Of course she did! She had you for a mother!"

[Telgin]

That was... touching, even if Friesden had mistaken the jest for a serious statement.  She'd obsessed over how well she'd raised Kris, considering the circumstances, but she did think the filly had turned out to be a fine young mare.  To hear somepony else say it though...  "Thank you, that... I suppose she did turn out well," she responds, the grin replaced by a genuine smile.

[Dsarker]

"And I'd be glad to accept your help raising the three little babies...Oh, I can't wait! This is going to be the best! Today is the best day ever! I've got mum and dad and you and three little babies on the way!"

[Impending Doom]

The three ponies arrive at the cabin in the caverns, only to find it locked up tight.

"Well, I suppose I should have expected this. Khenal, you wouldn't happen to know who might have the key, would you?"
