Luna nods again and smiles.  "Very well."  Her horn is coated in a silvery sheen as she casts an immensely powerful spell.  The air feels heavy for a moment as the spell works, and with a crackle of lightning two pony sized blocks of clay are called into existence, appearing near Starkey and Otik.  "From these I will carve your new forms."

Her horn flickers again, and the clay begins to deform and reshape itself in their images.  After a few moments, immaculate recreations of the two ponies rest where untouched clay stood, devoid of scars or other imperfections of a life of battle.  Luna waves her hoof in the direction of the statues, and wispy images representing Honesty and Loyalty travel from Starkey and Falcata onto the two statues.  "As symbols of the most virtuous qualities, I have granted you a second chance at life."  She takes a breath, shuts her eyes and breathes onto the statues.  The clay slowly fades to reveal flesh, and Luna turns her eyes to the two once more.

"May you now live," she says, and her horn glows a pale silver.  At that moment, Starkey and Otik feel faint, and the world shifts around them uncertainly for a moment.  Their spirits drift into the new bodies, and when they reawaken, they find their bodies to be changed.  No longer ethereal and permeable to the world.  They feel real again... and with all that comes with it.  A faint feeling of hunger rolls through them.

Luna opens her eyes and turns them to the newly living ponies.
  "It is done."

Friesden breaks away from Khenal, running over to her mother and father and picking them up in a hug. "Mum! Dad!"

Starkey and Otik wrap their forehooves around their daughter, but a collective growling interrupts their reunion.

"A-heh, perhaps we ought to celebrate with a nice dinner?"

Luna smiles as the ponies are reunited, and she stands to her full height.  "I cannot join you, for I am needed elsewhere.  I must leave you now."  She turns her attention to Couth.  "Come with me, we will speak of your future."  She then looks to Falcata.  "You may stay to join them if you wish.  When you are done, return to me and we will discuss your future as well."

Falcata bows as Luna addresses her.  "Yes, of course.  I wish to join them, and I will return to you when we are done."

Luna nods and steps off, her body becoming enshrouded by a gloomy haze.  "Very well.  I await your return."

Falcata watches as Luna disappears into the haze, and looks over to Friesden.  "I'd love to join you... but first, I need to do something..."  She steps over to Cryptson, trying to maintain the air of deference to him she always held in life.  As she draws close, she lowers her head slightly, a compromise of a clumsy bow she'd adopted when she wasn't quite sure how to approach him after Charity's mention of her distate for bowing.  Still, Cryptson had been a loner, and she didn't want to assume too much about him not wanting her to show her respect.

"My lord..." she begins, raising her head to look him straight on before contuining, "...I just... wanted to tell you that I've missed you and your family.  I'm sorry that I failed... but I haven't forgotten my duty.  I'm still watching over your family, as best I can here."  She forms a small smile.  "You're one of the greatest warriors I've ever met.  I know you and Khenal will protect them from everything I can't."  She fights for words for a moment more.  She hadn't said all that much to Lord Cryptson... she wished she had more to say to him now... something to tell Charity maybe?

"Falcata..." begins Cryptson, "You could never fail me, you were one of the finest warriors in all the world, no pony could have done more than you did that day, but I...We have missed you so much." Cryptson puts a forehoof on Falcata, "We could never have asked for a better Captain. If Charity were here, she would tell you that she loved you like a sister, I think we both did. ...I'm sorry if I was distant to you, I regret that we never had an opportunity to get to know each other very well. I don't think Charity ever told you this, but you were her best friend, in all the world. After your...death, we...we took in Kris, she is not a little filly, and she doesn't need us to look over her, but we will still treat her as if she was our own daughter. I can promise you, she will never be without family."

The strong and gentle blue stallion pauses, "I'm glad we got to see each other again." Cryptson hesitates he wishes to reach out and embrace the mare, but is unsure if that would be proper and with all these ponies watching, he dare not make such a move.

Like... a sister?  She had no idea... she knew Charity thought of her as a good friend, but that she cared that deeply about her... she had no idea.  And that Cryptson thought of her so fondly as well... that was a real shock.  She had always secretly hoped Cryptson thought well of her, of course, but she would have never expected for him to think of her like family.  Not that he had ever treated her badly... ever... but perhaps she had simply misinterpreted his stoic and solitary attitude.

That he also thought of her as so skilled, even after he'd beaten her soundly in their sparring matches... she had worried a lot about what he and Charity might have thought about her after that.  What good was a body guard if the people they were supposed to protect were better fighters?  Did he really still think of her as worthy of being their protector?

And... they had taken in Kris?

Her cautious and guarded expression melts into a small smile, and she responds,
"Th-thank you..."  She struggles to find words to convey her emotions. "...that means so much... and thank you for watching out for Kris.  You and Charity have been so good to us... I really can't thank you enough..."

Her smile fades a bit.  "I wish I could see her again, and Master Adamant.  He's a fine young stallion, and I really was overjoyed to learn that he and Kris were together."  She glances back to Friesden and her family.  "But Luna only gave me time enough to join Friesden for now."

I nod at Friesden's suggestion.

"A reunion sounds nice, especially with Starkey and Otik back with us."

Cryptson hesitates before saying anything more. "I should go tell Charity about what has happened. She'll want to be informed right away about Starkey and Otik, as well. Sisters, she'll probably think I've lost my mind, and maybe I have. If I can convince her I'm not crazy, we'll meet you all for dinner." Cryptson turns to Starkey and Otik, "Commander. Welcome back, and to you as well Miss Otik."

Cryptson takes up his weapon and turns to leave, running through his head over the possible ways to tell his wife all of the impossible things that he had just saw. The goddess Luna just showing up and returning ponies to life, it was an unheard of miracle, no sane pony would believe his story, he wasn't sure he even believed it himself, it all seemed so surreal.

Cryptson stops as he hears Friesden's voice. He looks back over his shoulder at her as she makes her request. He smiles at her and shakes his head in silent agreement, before continuing on his way.

"Aye, let's go. Our place?"

Otik turns to go...

...and promptly walks face-first into a wall.

"Ah, hun... we can't do that anymore, remember?"
