[Khenal]

The next day, Friesden and I decide to pay a visit to the new captain of the Skyguard.  It still hurt to know that Otik was gone, but I needed to know what kind of stallion was going to be filling her horseshoes.  Once we arrive at the office, I raise a hoof to knock on the door, still wishing it was Otik who would answer.

[jaxler]

Jaxler was in his office when he heard a pony knocking at the door.

"AYE, what do ya want?"

[Khenal]

I glance to Friesden, then shrug.

'I guess they're a bit stressed about the new position.'

"To talk?  If you're not busy, at least."

[Dsarker]

Friesden gives Khenal a quick hug, and smiles at the door, hoping the pony inside would be nice.

[jaxler]

"No, I ain't busy. Feel free to come on in"

[Dsarker]

Friesden hops forward and holds the door open for Khenal.

[Khenal]

I smile and lovingly nuzzle Friesden as I walk in, horn glowing to hold the door for her in turn.  Once she does, I turn to face the stallion behind the desk.

"Ah, good.  I was just hoping to meet the new Captain of the Skyguard."

I reach a hoof over the desk to shake in introduction.

[jaxler]

Jaxler extends his hoof and shakes the pony's hoof.

"So... why exactly did you want to shake my hoof?"

[Khenal]

"I wanted to see who was taking over the Skyguard after the... beast attack.  Um, I'm Khenal."

I bow slightly as I say so, trying to remember my manners after such an awkward start.

[jaxler]

Jaxler started leaning back in his chair.

"Please don't bow... Oh, and I'm Jaxler"

[Dsarker]

"I'm Friesden!"

[jaxler]

"and?"

[Dsarker]

"And...oh...I'm sorry...Sorry. I shouldn't have said anything..."

Friesden lowers her head into Khenal's wing.

[jaxler]

"Don't be sorry, you did nothing wrong"

[Khenal]

I lovingly nuzzle Friesden before turning back to address Jaxler.

"So... how's the position treating you so far?"
