((Ugh, I just realized how late it is. You think you guys can continue without me?))

I glance at Starkey.

"So...Schmoe it is, if you don't care about your name.  How can we be rid of you?"

I think we can manage for now, at least.  Khenal may still want to be arrested when this is through, though.

[Dsarker]

A laugh hangs in the air.

"Why, by killing me and my hosts, Khenal. I nearly managed it with Friesden, but you have this...compunction...against killing ponies. Quite the useless ability, but there it is."

[Khenal]

"Hosts?  Multiple hosts?!  What are you?"

[Dsarker]

"What's in a name? That which you call a daemon by any other name would be as powerful."

[Khenal]

Daemons don't possess multiple ponies at once, they don't have the power.  Or do some?  Daemons can only by ousted by the host or leave on their own...

"So, Schmoe the memory eater, how do you think my memories might taste?"

[Dsarker]

There's a slight smugness in the tone of the voice. "Oh, delicious, I'm sure."

[Khenal]

"Do you dare find out?  You are certainly powerful, but could you hope to possess an alicorn and maintain your other thralls?  Will you subsist on your 'leftovers' while a potential feast sits before you?  Take me, if you think you can!"

[Dsarker]

"At last. An opening. Khenal, my friend, you're going to help me by doing this."

[Khenal]

"You are not my friend, memory eater!  Now come, see if you've bitten off more than you can chew!"

[Dsarker]

A swirl of green fog expels itself from Istlig's mouth. It fills the room and snakes into Khenal's ear. He can feel the presence of the daemon.

My voice trails off as I notice the green fog.
