I glare at khenal for a moment, then I salute Starkey and rushing to the barracks.

[Khenal]

I yell after Carrot, hoping he hears me."I would never order ponies murdered, Carrot, especially over bucking amulets!  I don't know what's going on, but I will soon find out!"

[The Master]

Reaching the barracks, I grab Leiutenant Otik and shake her awake,
"Leiutenant Otik! Starkey says to gather your two best shooters, gear up, and met him outside the armory!"

I love it when a plan comes together. I wonder how long it will take him to guess it was me?


Pillomino didn't last too long before she fell under my influence too.

She now enjoys the scalpel just as much as I thought she would.

[Impending Doom]

The Lieutenant glares at him, bleary-eyed.

"Wha's the meaning of this, seargent? The cap'n? Why does he...? Oh clop, jus' let me wake up..."

[The Master]

"NO! SLEEP WHEN YOUR DEAD! RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE TWO MURDERS ON OUR HANDS!"

[Impending Doom]

"Wha? Is this about this mornin'? Alright, if the cap'n wants me, I'll be there."

She climbs out of bed, muttering something about a 'clopping drama queen' before prodding two of her companions awake. In short order, they are out the door.

[The Master]

The four of us head to to the armory.

[Impending Doom]

"Augh, dunnae tell me he wants you t' tag along?"

[The Master]

I smack the Lieutenant in the face, already having enough stress for one day.

[Impending Doom]

The seargent's vision explodes with bright stars. He awakes to find himself gagged and tied to an empty weapon rack. Otik and the two stallions already have their armor and weapons. One of them shoots a glance at him.

"She don't like to be touched, man."

They leave.

((I think Glitterglen is a pretty cool gal. seh takes no shit from Carrot and doesn't afraid of anything.))

[Khenal]

'Ok, need a plan.  Can't just let blind fury reign.  Can't give Istlig the business end of my spear as soon as I see him, even if he's murdered two ponies in cold blood.  You only have Starkey's word, which is a hell of a thing to have, but we still have laws.  Order him to stand down so he can be arrested for suspicion of double equicide and treason.  Have the rest of the guard stand down and surrender their weapons as we meet them, and wait in...um...the dining area?  No, the courtyard up top.'

I nod to myself, glad to have a plan.

"So, Commander, I'd like to offer each guard member the chance to stand down, relinquish their weapon, and wait for us in the courtyard up top.  Once we find Istlig" I spit the name out like a curse "he will also be ordered to stand down and we can personally escort him to a cell, before sorting out the rest of the guard.  Does that sound good?"

[The Master]

'Great job, Psycho! You just got KO'd by a girl! Worse, now i'm tied to a weapon rack! Well, let's think of the positives...I'm...Actually I am dead...I- No...Aw, screw it! NOTHING GOOD EVER HAPPENS TO ME FOR MORE THAN FIVE SECONDS!'

"Of course. Give him a chance to explain. We... we aren't barbarians."

I will..naturally.
