"...No, ma'am. Nopony but these two, Lieutenant, Friesden, and the doctor, ma'am."

"I-I heard them talking about... what they wanted to do to Miss Friesden, ma'am."

Isos' eyes narrow.

"What did they want to do?"

"W-Well, um, ma'am..."

The young soldier looks around nervously, then leans in and whispers something in the captain's ear.

((Use your imagination.))

Her eyes flash with rage as she reflexively reaches for her dagger.  She stops herself before gripping it, and turns to the militia ponies.

"Take them to a cell, please.  You don't need to be gentle.  Pardon me."

She storms past the ponies, ruthlessly stepping on the ones tied up as she leaves to find Captain Otik.

Friesden woke with a smile on her face. The last night had been a comfort after yesterday. Lilac, her sister, had brought her over for a sleepover, with Otik's blessing.

It was just relaxing to shut the door, and with it, all that happened since she woke. Lilac talked the night away, and freed her from the need.

She thought through the night, and remembered, now she woke. Khenal.

She loved him...and yet, feared him. She didn't know where the words "As you command, so I shall obey" had come from, but they had risen unbidden, from instinct. Something warned her to be careful. She carefully opened the door, and prepared to find Khenal again. He would know what the words meant.

Suddenly, from out of the blue, a small THUMP, followed by the sound of a pony struggling to stand, could be noticed from down the hall. Out came a rather well-dressed unicorn buck, albet with a rather messy mane and generaly ill-kept coat. He saw the group gathered in the area and, coughing slightly to gain the attention of the guards, stated " I am sorry for being so dreadfuly late, but I do belive that I should be here. I identified these two attempting to converse with the two fillies, and attempted to alert one miss Otik about the situation before it could get any worse."

Glaring at the two tied-down militaponies, he added "To be fair, it is quite a shock to learn that two of the ponies that we are supposed to give our lives up too are nothing more than a pair of pathetic creatures not worthy to be part of a dog warren. At least they give some thought on what might happen next in a given situation. There should be some sort of system to weed out such idiots before one even gets the chance to weild a wooden spear, no?"

Isos finds Otik in the firing range below the barracks, practicing. She continues shooting even as Isos approaches.

"morinin', Cap'n."

She went through, and saw the two from yesterday tied up. She began to hyperventilate, but remembered what mum had said. Breathe deep and slow. She regularised her breath, and looked around.

Where was Khenal? She remembered they had said it. But it hurt to try to remember. But...she had to. Her head throbbed as she tried to think. Where was he? Where was he?

She swayed, and found it hard to stay up. Like the fortress was rocking. Where...where was she? Tailentranced? She was in-

She collapsed to the floor, babbling nonsensical sounds.

"That soon?  Huh.  Thank you, Dr. Bubbles."

I turn to leave, but stop at the doorway.

"Do you happen to know where Friesden is?"

Captain Isos gives the new pony a measuring glance.

"Indeed.  If you are willing to testify, please follow the militiaponies to the cells.  I will be along soon to speak with you."

Eventually, she finds Captain Otik at the firing range.

"Good morning Captain.  Your men tell me you have important testimony against a few ponies from yesterday?  If you have a moment, could you follow me to my office so I can take your statement."

"Uh.. sirs? I think you may wish to contact Otik. And throw those two in a pit, or something. If anyone knows this filly personaly, for the love of all things holy, please calm her! Oh...wait...I do have that old medical spell that makes the whole body numb and sleepy."

Pokionics horn glows blue, than a deep purple, which then envelopes the babbling filly.

"Think happy thoughts..."

.......................................
Rather stressed, he sayes to the militaponies thru clenched teeth
"My good ponies, I will follow you in just a minute. I mearly need to put this filly in a better condition for Otik to find her in and I will go with you as Isos asked."

Four of the soldiers 'escort' their 'comrades' to their cells.

Otik lowers her crossbow, slinging it across her back.

"Those two troublemakers from yesterday mornin'? Aye, I have a bit t'say."

She follows Isos.

Falcata was headed down the hallway on her way back home, when she spots Friesden lying in the floor babbling something.  Concern shows on her face as she picks up her pace and trots to Friesden's side.  She kneels next to her.

"Friesden?  What's the matter?"

"You! Pony next to Friesden! Get away! Its hard to work a spell ment for surgaries while theres a pony near the casting! If you have any magic, any form at all, stay away from her. Currantly, if you wish to know, I am blasting the fillies mind with happy thoughts while numbing the body. Also, this fort needs a child care worker. And some Zebra spirit-warding charms, as well. Give me space, but alert someone she knows about whats going on.

If you want to help, go find Otik and scream your head off. If this has happened before, she should know!"
