The energy is released, raw and unformed, before spiraling back into my horn.  As Bubbles approaches the door, he sees a bright flash from behind it, and hears a brief scream.

Otik glares at the assembled soldiers.

"Nothin' t'see here, lads. Out. Now."

Reluctantly, they all file out the door.

Friesden remains burrowed deep in Starkey's mane.

"They're all gone, hun. It's just us three."

Hesitantly Friesden removes her head. Looking around, she slowly releases Starkey. She runs and embraces/tackles Otik.

"Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you," she says.

Otik returns the embrace.

"What, those lads? They're harmless, hun. no need t'be scared o' them."

Friesden is silent, merely relaxing into her embrace.

I lay in my hospital bed with a pained but triumphant smile.  Small wisps of smoke curl from my horn.

Pokionic could only wonder what poor Khenal did, but going from the smoke that was coming from his room it was not pretty. He decides that it would be best that he does not disterbed, and that he simply continued down the hall, thinking about wonderfull, wonderfull gems, and the feeling of well-cut jewels against his hooves....
