I gently lay a wing over Friesden and just try to be there for her.

Isos, however, remains unconvinced.

[KingStrongbeard]

"Dying? That knife couldn't have hurt you that bad, and you already seem to be recovering from whatever toxin was coating it? What exactly is the matter?"

[Telgin]

She shakes her head and stammers something under her breath.  "No... Doctor Bubbles says he doesn't know where it came from..." She looks up.  "Do you remember the monster that attacked from the caverns a few weeks ago?  The giant leech?"

((Not sure on the timing, but that feels about right))

[KingStrongbeard]

"Yes, I remember that, you... you collapsed after the fight. Does that have something to do with this?"

[Dsarker]

"I don't care what happens anymore."

[Telgin]

She nods.  "I... thought I was fine..."  She places a hoof against the side of her head.  "But... soon I grew very ill.  I know it has to be linked to that monster's death... the gas I breathed in... there's no other explanation."

She rests a hoof against her stomach and says, "I've been so sick... it's only with very strong medicine from the doctors that I'm able to eat at all."  She looks away.  "Doctor Bubbles told me... it won't be getting better.  It can't.  There's only one possible outcome..."

[The Master]

"Kris, I think i'm losing my mind..."

[KingStrongbeard]

"...Dying. Well, if you don't mind me asking. Do you know about how much longer you have left?"

[Khenal]

I wince at her words.

"Please, Friesden.  Don't give up hope.  Please..."

Isos has apparently seen and heard all she needs, and turns to leave.

[Dsarker]

"As you command, Khenal, so I will obey."

[Telgin]

She continues to hang her head.  "I... don't know.  A few months I think.  Maybe half a year.  Dr. Bubbles wasn't sure...  I've been getting by with the medicine so far."

Kris places a hoof around Lilac.  "Aww, come on, it's been a tough few days."

[KingStrongbeard]

"Well, up till now, you've continued serving in the guard, why is that? Why not take the rest of your time and spend it with your daughter?"

((You said you where thinking about this before, I hope you came to a decision on it.))

[Khenal]

I collapse into sobs.

"No...Friesden..."

[The Master]

"It's been more than that...I just...I feel so stupid!" Lilac punches herself.

[Dsarker]

Friesden tries to put one of her wings around Khenal, but is still tied down.

"Shh shh shh....it'll be alright, Khenal...you'll get through this."
