[Telgin]

Falcata is shocked by the question, but manages to form a weak smile.  The foal hadn't meant anything by it, she knew.  She strokes Kris' mane gingerly and replies, "N-nothing is going to happen to me."

She sniffs back a tear of her own and continues, "But, I may be here a while, so she can stay with you all she wants."  She begins to question the foal about her parents, but remembers the encounter in the hallway and decides it best not to.  "Wh-who are you staying with?"

[The Master]

A tear runs down Lilac cheek, "M-my parents are both dead, along w-w-with my brothers...I'm staying with Uncle Starkey and Auntie Otik..."

[Telgin]

Captain Starkey and Lieutenant Otik... Lilac couldn't have picked much better ponies to befriend.  Perhaps Khenal, but he was still delirious if she hadn't been hallucinating that.  Falcata's expression turns to a small frown and she says, "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that.  Captain Starkey and Lieutenant Otik are wonderful ponies though, they'll take good care of you."

She adjusts her position, stiffling a cry as her weight settles on her ribs again.  She releases Kris and says, "Why don't you two go find the captain or lieutenant?  I just need a little rest right now."

[The Master]

"Alright!" Lilac grabs Kris and drags her over to Khenal.

[Telgin]

Falcata settles back into her bed, turning her head to the wall where nopony could see her.  What if what the filly had told her was true?  Was she really dying?  How could this have happened?  Oh, Luna... she couldn't bear to leave Kris alone.

Kris finally tears her eyes away from her mother and begins to follow Lilac.  "Where are we going?"

[The Master]

"Well, if there's one pony daddy used to talk about, it was Khenal! Maybe we shou-" Lilac notices the group chanting in front of Friesden, "On second thought...Hey, want to see my room?"

[Telgin]

Kris backs away from the scene and nods. "O-okay."  Her mom said a lot of good things about Khenal, but he didn't look like he was doing well either.

[The Master]

"You can sleep in my room tonight! I bet you're tired...I am..." Yawns Lilac as they approach the room.
"Huh, Otik must be out...I'll tell her in the morning, if you want to stay that is..."

[Telgin]

She nods and says, "Okay... if you don't think Mr. Starkey and Ms. Otik will mind.  My mom talks about them sometimes, I think she knows them."

[The Master]

"They won't," Says Lilac, opening the door to her bedroom, "Well...I'm going to hit the hay...I have an extra bed, so you can sleep in that..." Mutters Lilac as she climbs into bed and falls asleep. ((Sad sleep music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kCcA1qlnTM GOOD NIGHT EVERYPONY!))

[The Master]

Lilac wakes up, and sees the still sleeping Kris. She gets out of bed and heads to the barracks.

[Khenal]

'That sounded similar to Schmoe, but far more powerful.'

"That sounded similar to Schmoe, but far more powerful."

'It sounded dangerous...'

"It sounded dangerous..."

'We can't let that run free.'

"We can't let that run free."

The Khenals nod, finally in agreement.

[Dsarker]

"Begone, Daemon! You have no power here!" yelled the Inquisitor, with rather more bravado than I personally felt. I started muttering the Litany against the Warp under my breath.

Oooh. How delicious. Go on, inquisitor. You smell so tasty.

[Khenal]

The Khenals each place their final piece in the Mirror, layering upon eachother.  As they do so, they merge, once again forming a single alicorn.  Once finished, I finally open my eyes to take in my surroundings.

"What has happened?  How did the trial finish?"

I'm about to head off to some dnd.  If you guys have stuff to do, just assume Khenal gets lucid after whatever happens.  If the quiet trend for today continues, however, we can roll with this tomorrow or so.
