Falcata turns away from Captain Starkey and Commissar Abel and gingerly steps past the rubble.  She heads for the stone stockpile.  How much stone would they need?  She probably wouldn't be able to carry much alone, not like this.  Maybe she could get somepony to help.  She cringed at another stab of pain.  At least she had an excuse if she ran into Captain Isos.

[Impending Doom]

"I... am nae some kind o' scholar, Lilac. I cannae give ye a real fancy answer f'r that, but... I guess we care 'bout things cos it makes us happy, cos it makes life easier t'live. An sure, everythin' dies eventually, an' it hurts when y'lose somethin' y'care about. But isnae havin' t' be sad every once in awhile better n' bein miserable all th' time, cos ye got nothin' t' care about?"

[The Master]

"I don't know...why not just end it? What's the point in going on if there's no family left to support you?" ponders Lilac.

[Dsarker]

Khenal, we've even got an incharacter reason for you to start back up. Just wait a tick.

[Dsarker]

"What's the point in going on, young miss? Because that is the joy of life, to die knowing your task is complete."

[Khenal]

((Yep, I'll be watching until somepony shows in the hospital, or something else happens to force Khenal awake))

[The Master]

"You're not helping, you know that, mister?" says Lilac rudely to the Commissar.

[Dsarker]

"Me? Why would I be helping you, filly? As much as I'd love to stay and talk with you, we've got a cult of murderers to track down here. If you don't mind not haranguing my aide, we can leave now." I said. "Come on, Schmutz."

"Bye, little miss." he said in a phlegmatic tone as he followed me.

[Impending Doom]

Otik lays down on the floor next to Lilac, eye-level with her.

"Family or no, y' got folk who're more'n willing t' support ye. Me, Stars..."

She struggles a bit, searching for names.

"Auntie Friesden, Uncle Khenal... tha' poncy git with th' red sash..."

[The Master]

"Leave me alone!" Yells Lilac, dashing in the direction of the hospital.

((Gee, what could she want in the hospital? I SURE hope she doesn't hurt herself on the SHARP OBJECTS in there! HINT HINT))

[Dsarker]

"Schmutz, what is that amulet you've got there?" I asked. I was more than just curious. Amberley had told me about the cursed amulets that had been sent out, and I wasn't ready to get a new one on just yet.

"Somepony left this on your desk, sir. It's addressed to you."

This got my hoof tingling, and I continued on to the hospital. There, Khenal and Friesden, the other two major possibilities in the investigation, were in a coma.

((Yep, I'll be watching until somepony shows in the hospital, or something else happens to force Khenal awake))

((Falcata may be joining Khenal in the hospital soon, but I doubt she'll be waking him))

Falcata returns to the collapsed wall, pushing a small cart of stones with her magic.  She grunts as the cart comes to a halt and steps aside, wiping some sweat from her forehead.  She dearly hoped this would be enough, nopony seemed to be in much of a hurry to help her at the stockpile.

"Commissar?  I brought...," she begins before noticing everypony is missing.
