If there had been something I was expecting, this was the exact opposite. So somehow this Crest Fire had stolen a dead colt's knife and used to kill the colt's wife and two of their children? This wasn't making any sense at all.

I moved out of the room. What I'd seen here was sickening, but I'd seen far worse.
