"Couth, you cannot possibly charge Khenal on the basis of an act of unselfishness!" Otik shouts, enraged.

"Master," Cornbread begans, but is cut off by Otik.

"And what about me? If I end up giving up my position, does that automatically count me as a suspect? And my trainee, Cornbread, who has only just begun her duty as a skyguard, who has access to crossbows everyday!"

The filly smiles in a way only Carrot would.
"Shhh...i'm going to scare Khenal now..." And with that, the filly sneaks over to Khenal.

[DVNO]

"Your chivalry is and act, Khenal, and I see right through it!" Couth said with intensity.

"When Charity was recovering from the hospital the only thing keeping you and your men from slitting her throat was Psycho Carrot and his squad! and look who ends up dead in self defense?"

" also, you couldn't arm a trap, but my good friend and your patsy Nicolta Tesla could. I bet he would love to be a witness and tell all sorts of nasty secrets about you, but he mysteriously fell of a cliff weeks ago."

[The Master]

The filly reaches Khenal and tugs on his mane.

[Dsarker]

"Guess it's a good thing he's in hospital and recovering, isn't it?"

[DVNO]

And I guess It's a good thing I set fire to the hospital while everypony but Nicolta was at this trial Couth thinks.

My eyes narrow as I take in what Darkmane just said.

"So, he fell off a cliff?  Strange, I never did figure out how he ended up in the cavern.  I guess it must drain there.  How did you know he fell off a cliff, Darkmane?  If you witnessed it, it seems like something you should have said immediately after the act so we could catch the culprit."

Captain Isos stands and starts walking towards Darkmane.

"I think we need to talk after the trial.  Unless you have something relevant to this trial to say, please follow the guards."

The filly jumps up from behind Khenal and yells, "HI KHENAL! IT'S ME, CARROT!"

Falcata approaches Darkmane from the side, prepared to escort him away at the captain's order.

((Where to?))

[Khenal]

My composure while dealing with Darkmane dissipates in an instant as I fall over backwards with a shout.

Captain Isos jumps and turns to see who would pull such a poorly thought out prank.

A holding cell, most likely.  Though, this would be the time for Darkmane to make his escape if he's going to.  I'd imagine all eyes are on the little filly at the moment.

"Hehehe! Ooops! Khenal, get up! I'M CARROT!" Giggles the filly.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Couth strikes out with a leg

"YOU SEE PONIES? YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET TOO CLOSE TO THE TRUTH IN THIS FORTRESS?" Couth shouts, trying to appeal to the public.

"I saw you push Nicolta off that cliff, I saw you push Carrot off that courtyard tower, and said nothing, because you held all the cards. well not here! here the ponies decide! not you!"

[Dsarker]

"If he pushed Nicolta off a cliff, why did he save him? If he pushed Carrot off, why didn't he simply leave the body there? If he simply pushed Carrot off, why didn't Carrot fly away? He was a pegasus, you know."
