[The Master]

((NO, this has gone on long enough. We keep getting derailed every time there's even the slightest bit of commentary. Keep this up, and I will simply take my business elsewhere and edit all of my posts to be blank.))

Friesden sees nothing at all that could of possibly caused it. She does notice, however, a filly tugging at her hair.

[Dsarker]

"Who are you, filly?"

[The Master]

The filly simply smiles. Friesden notices that her eyes resemble Carrot's.

[DVNO]

 
"Next question; this one's directed to Mrs. Charity. could you describe your relationship with Khenal? was your office, lets say, 'always open' to him in case of an emergency? could he have set a crossbow trap?"

 

[Dsarker]

"Hmmm. One of Carrot's kids."

Friesden turns to the out of check pony.

"I'm sorry, you did mention a motive for Khenal attempting to kill the duchess at some point, didn't you?"

[Khenal]

"Nor am I the one on trial here, Darkmane.  I have no idea how to go about building a trap, and the crossbow is not a weapon I'm familiar with anyway."

[The Master]

The filly tugs harder on Friesden, and says in a quiet voice, "It's me Friesden, Carrot. shhhhhh..."

[Dsarker]

Friesden mouth drops. She turns to the filly. "You....you bastard!"

Tears of relief are coming down her face. "You..."

[The Master]

"Shhhh...It's alright...I forgive you...I'm sorry I went mad again..."

[Dsarker]

"You're...you're okay? You really had me scared."

[DVNO]

Couth grins, answers the remark without skipping a beat

" The motive is so simple it behooves us. Love and Power. Love and Power always turns ponies against ponies. If Mayor charity had -gods forbid- died in the assassination, who would take her place? somepony who's been climbing the political ladder? somepony we all love and admire? somepony like-

*glances at Khenal*

"Khenal?"


"And IF Khenal WERE to become Mayor - it would make getting his lover, Friesden, out of the punishment she deserves, rather simple dosen't it? As Mayor Khenal could have freed her with a single penstroke! Making this whole trial moot!"

He smiles so wide the edges of his mouth touched his ears.

"But you, Of all ponies,  should have known! Should have known justice is not blind to your evils!"

[Dsarker]

"So why did he urge against Charity's impeachment?"

"It is true," Otik confirms. "During training, Khenal was an absolute deuce when it came to mechanics, and his aiming skill was just plain horrible."

[The Master]

"No, I died, and it HURT! But I decided being dead was boring, so now i'm starting over as one of my fillies."

[Khenal]

"Somepony who willingly gave up the title of Captain of the Guard?  I have no desire for power, Darkmane.  If I did, I would have stayed in the capital.  And you still haven't shown how this is relevant to the case at hand."
