Chaity's Journal 18th Obsidian 98
The caravan from the capital has arrived. They are expecting an offering to the princess in value of at least 20,000 bits. I believe we have more than enough goods to pay the tax.
21st Obsidian 98
The Rainbows sent a Tentacle pony to represent them. I won't lie, I don't feel comfortable letting a diomedian so far inside our defenses, though he was more or less polite. Didn't stop me from keeping guards close at hoof.
24th Obsidian 98
Isos, the new guard captain, had another foal today. A little unicorn filly. She's quite weak though, even for an infant. We're all just hoping she'll be okay, though the doctors give her good odds.
25th Obsidian 98
The pony from the capital had great news for the ponies of Glitterglen, where being elevated in the eyes of the realm. We will be a duchy and I will be the Duchess. Now to tell everypony.
(Khenal when you transcribe the earlier part where we're dealing with Psycho's death, please change all mention of Countess Charity to Duchess Charity, as this will have happened first.)
1st Granite 99
A new year, and our offering to the princess was accepted, and we were able to trade for a mountain of metal. All is good, in Glitterglen for once.
9th Granite 99
I gave birth to my newest daughter today. My fifth child. Her name is Copper Riverknight.
12th Granite 99
Kil just had her youngest son today. A little pegasus, can't really see the family resemblence to Carrot, guess the colt just takes after his mother.
1st Slate 99
I've just come from a very difficult meeting. It seems as if Friesden, has murdered my trusted friend, Captain Carrot. While death has never stopped him before it seems the fall did enough damage to finally stop him. He is being honored with a tomb in the wooden tower. The third floor now being reserved for the final resting places of our bravest military ponies. The murderer, or I should say accused murderer, is being held in the prisons, In one weak we shall have a trial to decide her fate.
As I write this the Commander is breaking the news to his wife. I hope he is gentle with it. These are delicate matters.
Khenal still thinks Friesden is harmless, claims it was self defense, I can't disagree more with him, but I'll hear it out at the trial in one week.
A pegasus pony by the name of Crest Fire will be taking over as Captain of my Skyguard and will be given Carrot's families old room, once Kil has had time to move into a new room.
(Kil didn't even drop from estatic when Psycho Carrot died, that's just cold. Poor Carrot, his wife doesn't even care he's dead. Same with his kids. Heartless, all of them.)
