[Khenal]

My other eye opens and I groggily sit up.

"Starkey?  Huh.  How's he doing?"


Meanwhile, in Isos' Chambers

"Ugh, I thought anything would be better than his shouting.  I was wrong."

Isos paces by her bed, trying to figure out what to do about the pony sobbing in one of her cells.  She eventually stops and heads to her door, apparently having made a decision.

"Captain Carrot?  Are you alright?"

[Dsarker]

"Good, I guess."

[Impending Doom]

((Friesden tells Khenal she was in his best friend's bedroom and she doesn't remember what happened. Hilarity ensues.))

[Dsarker]

((That's what I was thinking. Then I'm thinking he'd get up, and head over only to find Starkey and Otik...romantically entangled, shall we say.))

[The Master]

"Wh-wha...what the hay d-do you want now...?" Asks Carrot through the sobs.

[Khenal]

"Ah, that's good."

Too tired to catch Friesden's uncertainty, I lay back down.



In the cell block

"I just wanted to check on you, see if you're alright.  I'll let you out in the morning.  As far as I can tell, you aren't being charged with anything.  So cheer up, this'll hardly even be mentioned in the paperwork, let alone your record."

Isos is a lot more by-the-book than Khenal is

[Dsarker]

Friesden joins Khenal.

[The Master]

"MORNING?!" I scream, trying to ram into the bars, "LET ME OUT NOW!!!"

[Khenal]

Isos turns her head to the side, thinking.

"Hmm, how long have you been in this cell, again?"

[The Master]

"Well, lets SEE! I haven't had bucking breakfast, lunch or dinner for a day, and I haven't had breakfast or lunch today, SO THAT MAKES IT TWO DAYS!" I scream, right in Isos's face.

[Khenal]

She quirks an eyebrow at Carrot and glances at one of the barrels near the cell.  She opens it and checks, frowning.

"Well then, Captain Carrot, I need to apologize to you.  I lost track of time, and I could have sworn I asked one of the guards to release you this morning.  24 hours is the limit for holding a pony without charge.  Additionally, somepony forgot to get a new barrel of food so we could give you your meals.  I'll get the keys and let you out in just a moment.  Again, I'm sorry about this."

[The Master]

Carrot, rather than thanking her, utters something so coarse that the old narrator killed himself after hearing it. Suffice to say, Isos was not pleased.

[Khenal]

She frowns at Carrot, though she still remains calm.

"I don't think that's physically possible, and I know it's not legal.  Besides, where would I even get a squeegee at this hour?  Regardless..."

She unlocks the cell.

"You are free to go."

[The Master]

((there would have been a witty comment here, but the master died of laughter.))
"Where the buck is Khenal? Aw, the hay with it...i'm going to bed... Oh, could you see if you could execute my wife for cheating on me...? that would make my day..." Says Carrot.

[Khenal]

"I don't think adultery is a charge the guard handles.  I'll check into it, though.  I hope the rest of your day goes better."
