Meanwhile, in the astral planes of the gods, a certain Draconequus is having the time of his life (or whatever gods have).
"HAHAHAHAhaha Oohh ha ha aha ha, Ow my sides! Too good! Just too good! This is just to GOOD!"
In his left claw and right foot were what to a mortal would look like marionette doll strings, attached as it were to Dr. Friesden and Carrot respectively. 
"O goodness, this is the most fun I've had in ages!"
Seemingly form thin air, a small royal filly apered, white coated and a pink mane blowing in a perpetual unseen wind.
"Discord! Leave my ponies alone you big jerk!"
"Or what!"
"Or... or..."
"Yes, thats what I thought. Now run along and let a real god have his fun before I have-"
"I'm telling my Daddy on you!"
Few thing can frighten a god. Some would say nothing can, after all, gods cannot be hurt or die. That said, the look of absolute terror on Discord's face while the little filly ran off was out of the ordinary.  Given who Celestia's father was, it is not however unexpected.
"No no no no no STOP!"
Discord hurriedly cuts the stings to his little game, sending the two ponies plummeting into sanity once again.
"Stop! Waite! I'll give you Cotton-candy clouds! You like those right? STOP!"

Hmmm. It appears to cause less pain when I pick at a more recent cut.

I scream so loud that all the glass in the room shatters, then my eyes slowly fade back to normal. I shake my head and begin to cry in utter fear.

"I feel horrible...horrible...I'm a monster...kill me!"

[Khenal]

"Then follow my lead.  This is very complicated and could be disastrous if anything goes wrong."

I notice Carrot starting to shred the mundane bindings.

"On second thought, keep him restrained!  This is a possession that we cannot afford to allow to run loose!  Never again!"

With that, my horn glows brighter than before, becoming uncomfortable to look at directly.

"You will not have this one, Discord!"

And suddenly the presence was gone.  My horn dims as I let my magic slowly bleed away.

"That...was odd"

"He's...He's back to normal? I... I didn't do anything yet. Khenal, did you...?"

[The Master]

Tears are pouring out of my eyes at this point.

"KILL ME BEFORE I KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

[Khenal]

"I was about to, the presence left on it's own?  I don't know.  We should keep Carrot restrained before he can hurt somepony or hims.."

I cut off in mid-sentence.  Friesden!  Nopony was watching her, and she's almost certainly under the same posession!

"Friesden!  I have to check on her!"

[The Master]

Through the tears, I scream, "WAIT! DON'T LEAVE ME!!!!!!! I...WANT...TO...DIE!!!!!!!"

Turns to Peytral. "Do you still doubt the Captain? I don't know what magic is being worked here but one thing is clear. Khenal is trying to protect us."

Now that Carrot is seemingly unpossessed. Dr. Erok, will offer him something to calm him and help him sleep.

The results of Discords hasty actions are felt throughout the fortress as time seems to skip a beat.  Carrot is cured before the spell is cast, leading to him geting a magical shock from Khenal and charity. One of the wounded ponies finds his leg immediately healed, ups for joy, and falls down a flight of stairs breaking it once again.  A craftspony puts the finishing touches on a truly aw inspiring statue, only to resoundingly find it turned into a block of stone once more.  Venture is once again sleeping in the little pile of party stuff in the hospital as if she never left.  Lastly It takes a hauler 87 years to walk for 1/2 an hour. 

"What just happened?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

There are three types of wounds. Wounds, damned wounds, and suicides. The third sounds good.
