Charity is not looking at Carrot but only at Peytral, thus she is unaware of the eyes. She directs her face outwards of the room. She shouts. "DOCTOR EROK! WOULD YOU KINDLY GAG OR SEDATE PSYCHO CARROT."

The Doctor arrives, and attempts to do this.

Is she actually controlled by Khenal? By the black vines?

Or is she as sane as can be and is merely manipulating everyone into thinking she's insane, that Khenal is controlling her?))

((I'd like to think that she really is controlling you, but someone else stone khenal's mental magic book and is using it on me. Psycho would have no way of knowing this, thus he assumes it's khenal's fault.))

Charity turns to face Carrot, "WOULD YOU JUST SHUT...." She sees that his eyes are unnaturally red. "Kogsak (god of mercy) have mercy on our souls."

Charity searches her mind for every bit of magic knowledge she has and finds nothing to help her.

"Captain Khenal! What is going on! What sort of magic is this?"

(I don't know what's actually going on anymore. I thought that Friesden was just schizophrenic, but now I don't know. Is Venture behind all of this? But Friesden was crazy before Venture arrived? Is the filly just making it worse? Is she doing it on purpose? Why? she likes Khenal.)

Red Eyes?  No, please no.  Anything but that!  My horn glows brightly as anything in the room that could be used as a restraint is tied about Psycho Carrot, including a sturdy gag.  I may have failed a few ponies, but I refuse to fail all of Glitter Glen!

Well, it'd take a truly Machiavellian character to write like a crazy person in their personal journal on the off chance somebody would read it. I was considering having Khenal actually be the one doing at least some of the mind buggery unknowingly, but I'm not sure how to develop that angle yet.  My money is on the vines, but it's your character.

Her horn glows with her magic. A faint shield begins to form around Carrot, but it fades as quickly as it appears. Charity won't be nearly magical enough to help anyone alone.

"I'll do my best, but magic was never my best subject. It appears to be some sort of mind controlling spell. I can try to help you dispel or counter it."
