Friesden feels remarkedly awkward at this.

I look at my friend awkwardly, unsure how to console him.

"It's horrible...catching your own wife with another pony...So I've decided to become a hermit...in the jungle. I'll starve to death alone in peace there." He says, grimdark.

(Going to play some DF now I think. A few things I wish to make clear. One Friesden is being trusted to move around freely now correct? You have told Charity you're letting a convicted murderer free right? Second. If the answer to the first is yes, I'm going to try and isolate the two ponies [Khenal and Friesden] together for a while, to see if we can make de magics happen in game.)

Yes and Yes.  He feels she is fully rehabilitated and no longer a danger to the fortress.  He has also given Charity his letter of resignation as Captain of the Guard, and is prepared to argue if she doesn't want to accept it

Charity gallops down to see Khenal in his office packing up private quarters, after turning in his resignation. The letter is violently held in a tight telekinetic grasp. Ignoring Carrot and anypony else that might be there, she unfurls the letter and shoves it toward Khenal. "Khenal what is the meaning of this! Why are you resigning!?"

"Well, that doesn't matter...I have no reason to keep living like this. Heh, like you care...you actually have someone..." He drops the book he wanted to show Khenal yesterday at Friesden's hooves, and begins to make his way into the unforgiving jungle.

I have fixed the error!

Edit: Although in the actual fortress design and thus in my head, Khenals private quarters are behind his office and thus only accessible by going through the office. I guess I never really made that clear to anyone else though.

Friesden lifts up the book just in time for Charity to burst in. At the sudden shout and bursting in, she jumps back.
