[The Master]

Psycho heads to Khenal's office, assuming -incorrectly of course- that he's there.
"Khenal? Do you know what happened to my book on CPR? I lost it again!"

[Dsarker]

"I...I only wish we could have been together for a bit longer. We would have been good together."

[Khenal]

"D-don't talk like that, Friesden.  You...You'll be alright."

[Dsarker]

"If...If you say so..."

[Khenal]

I gently stroke Friesden's back with a wing, wishing I could take her pain.

'...Keeper?  Will she be alright?'

[Dsarker]

"Hmmm? Sorry, I was napping. Will who be alright?"

[Khenal]

'Friesden.  I...She was stabbed.  Dr Bubbles patched her up, but she seems so weak.  I'm scared, Keeper.'

[Dsarker]

The Keeper's face morphs briefly into that of Schmoe.

"Allow me to put it delicately. If Friesden dies, the next thing you will know is this. You're awake. You're facing me. But you won't be armed."

The face changes back.

"Of course, my time I won. But don't be too sure this time."

[Khenal]

I barely register Schmoe's threat, not wanting to even consider the possibility that Friesden might die.

'Keeper, back in the jail with Carrot, you said something about a transfusion.  What is it?'

[Dsarker]

"In laypony's terms, you take somepony else's blood and put it into another pony. Unless Friesden has suffered profuse blood loss, it shouldn't be necessary."

[Khenal]

'There was a lot of blood, but not as much as Carrot in the jail...'

I sigh and hang my head.

"I just wish I could do something..."

[Dsarker]

"Just...be by my side, my love."

[Khenal]

"Always."

[Dsarker]

"I feel sleepy. So sleepy."
