In Khenal's desk, is mostly boring paperwork, but there are two things that stand out.  The first is Friesden's journal, the other is a book on mental magic.  The magic book details precisely very powerful mind control magics.  Khenal has it as a resource for defense against those kinds of spells, but it certainly looks incriminating by itself.
