When I awake, the first thing I see is Friesden, sleeping peacefully.  I smile, and my horn glows as I gently settle her into the bed after I get out of it.  I quietly head to my office and start writing in my Sequel.


Khenal's Sequel, Chapter 5

Friesden is better, my Sequel!  Over the past few days, she's actually been responding to ponies and doesn't try to hurt anypony anymore.  Yesterday, though, she remembered her past and couldn't face it.  She asked me to take those memories, and I would have refused if Cockroach hadn't reared his ugly head again.  I...I almost killed Carrot when I tried to stop him, and only Friesden could help him.  In return, she wanted me to seal her memories.  I tried to talk her out of forgetting, but she couldn't handle all the pain they were bringing her.

I created another mental construct, like the one I used on myself so long ago.  It's not a perfect answer, and I don't know how long those memories will stay fully sealed, but she's so happy right now.  And I'm so happy also.  I love her, my Sequel, and I think she returns the feeling.  She's asleep right now, and I'm trying to decide if I should wake her or let her sleep while I go visit Carrot in the hospital.  I'll also need to talk to Charity and Starkey and let them know about Friesden.

[Dsarker]

Friesden starts to stir in the bed.

[Rentorian]

"And you're sure about it?  She looks... better?" I ask Negs.
Yes already!  Her lights are much more like a normal pony, and she has a lot more lights that I can't see.
"Enough positive emotions that you can tell they are there?  That's definitely a good sign."
Negs had woken up almost a full day after he had gone to sleep, much of the time since then had been spent explaining what had happened while he slept as well as trying to figure out what was going on.
"We should probably ambush Khenal somewhere, get the full story from him...  You still remember what the hidden colors were like right?"
Yes I remember, Negs responded, annoyed at my constant questioning of his memory.

As Khenal nears the hospital, he hears the familar groans of Psycho Carrot.

[Khenal]

I decided to let Friesden sleep while I pay Carrot a quick visit in the hospital.  I quicken my pace when I hear is groans.

'Groans are better than crazed screams, but only just.  I should hurry.'

I smile as Khenal trots in.
"Khenal! What in Celestia's name happened?! Was I in a coma for two days?!" Asks Psycho, jumping to conclusions as always.

[ansontan2000]

"Yes Khenal. What happened? Did you take Friesden's memories?"

[Khenal]

I get a bit nervous at the questions and what the answers will be, but calm down at least a little when I remember they are my friends.

"Well, you see..."  I start recalling the last few days, telling Bubbles and Carrot about Friesden's unsettling behavior with her leg, Carrot's induced insanity with those syringes, Cockroach's return, and yes, I sealed Friesden's memories.  I leave out the fact that Friesden and I love eachother, feeling it's private.  For now, at least.

"Is Friesden okay with having her memories taken? If not, you may want her to come back here to rest."

[Khenal]

"Yes, she...she pleaded that I seal them.  I didn't want to, but she saved Carrot.  How could I refuse her?"

"Why would you help a psychopath, Khenal? Friesden is the one who tried to KILL US on multiple occasions." Psycho says, worried about Khenal's mental health.

"Carrot, I might add that you did the same."

Confused, I say "What're you talki- Don't tell me...I went insane...AGAIN..." I sigh, not even surprised in the slightest.
((Psycho wouldn't try to kill anyone willingly 'I' might add.))
