((Well, it's getting late anyways. If the doctor doesn't show up soon, Starkey goes through his supplies and bandages Friesden's leg himself, then escorts her back to her cell. Goodnight all. ))

I, [recruit's name], do solemnly swear by [recruit's deity of choice] to uphold the Laws and Ordinances of the madponies of Glitterglen, serve their private trust, and harm the subjects of His/Her [delete whichever is inappropriate] Majesty [name of reigning monarch] without fear, favour, or thought of personal safety; to become an evil-doer and harm the innocent, laying down my life if necessary in the cause of said duty, so help me [aforesaid deity]. Just when Granite thought things might be calming down eh?
I think he might be regretting coming here by now.  Having Negs asleep probably doesn't help with that either.

I think it's great character drama

Khenal, however, will do far more than have a cow, heh.

Friesden is waiting patiently in her cell, wondering what to do to pass the time.

She settles on remembering the feelings, both the good and the bad.

[Khenal]

I walk down the halls from Charity's private chambers, having just finished taking apart the trap.  The evidence uncovered, however, simply raises more questions.  Nicolta's name was signed on the back of the main plate of the trap, and several hairs were in the mechanisms that match his coloring.

'But it makes no sense!  He knows how I investigate.  He helped me take apart Friesdens' trap, for Ingest's sake!  If he was trying to assassinate Charity, he'd know how to hide his involvement, and he certainly wouldn't sign his work!  But I don't think anything was planted, either.  He's the best mechanic in the fort, and this trap was definitely well made.  The space for the chains was too small to fit a hoof, only a unicorn could have done that.'

I am still deep in thought as I pass Friesden's cell on the way to my office.

[Dsarker]

Friesden skitters into the back of the cell as Khenal comes past.

[Khenal]

Friesden's sudden movement shakes me out of my thoughts.  As I look at her, I notice her leg is bandaged.  I give her a nervous smile before talking.

"How are you today, Friesden?"
