The daemon goes silent. Psycho turns dead white as the lack of a blood flow sets in.

[Khenal]

"Cockroach, in fealty to the God-Princess, our undying lady, and by the grace of the Canterlot Throne, in the name of Glitterglen and the Watch, I call thee diabolis, and in the testimony of thy crimes, I submit this carta. May principial justice account in all balance. The Princess protects," I repeat, finishing the seal on Cockroach before opening my eyes and returning firmly from my mental realm.

Only then do I notice Carrot's still form.

"...Carrot?"

[Rentorian]

This is death isn't it? Negs asks as he watches Psycho's lights slowly turn white.
"Yeah, I'm not sure we can do anything for him..." I mutter sadly.

[The Master]

Lifeless, Carrot still has a determined smile on his face.

[Khenal]

"C-come on Carrot, get up.  Death... death didn't stop you before!  Carrot...?"

I kneel by Carrot, reaching out a hoof to try to find his pulse.

[Rentorian]

I slowly open the gate in my mind, watching the white lights slowly fade into nothing as Negs reaches out and caresses them softly.
I don't like death.  There should be colors...
"I don't like it either Negs," I mutter.
Why can I see death?
"It's part of what gave birth to you remember?"
I... shouldn't eat it should I? Negs asks as he slowly pulls his hands away from the fading lights.
"No.  Never eat a death.  It... does things to you.  Bad things."
I want to sleep now.
"Alright."  I slowly close the gate in my mind and seal him off completely.  His presence slowly vanishes from my mind and I'm completely alone again.  I suppress a shudder at the silence in my mind.

[The Master]

Not even the slightest trace of a pulse can be found. Psycho isn't brain dead yet, he manages to open an eye, lift his head, and mutters weakly, "Goodbye my best friend ever..." then Psycho's head drops.

[Impending Doom]

"No... Goddess no..."

Starkey approaches Carrot.

"He... h-he can't be... Khenal, the thing, with the lightning, do it!"

[Khenal]

"G...Goodbye, my friend"

I lay my head on Carrot, tears flowing down my face and fighting back wracking sobs. 

Then Starkey's words ignite my hope!  I immediately move my head, pointing my horn at Carrot's heart.  My horn flashes as I send a shock into his heart, hoping that all is not lost.

[Rentorian]

I trot over to Khenal and watch in wonder, a faint glimmer of hope in the back of my mind.

[Khenal]

Though Carrot convulsed, he doesn't look to be getting better with just one shock.  My horn brightens as I charge another shock spell.

"Come on, Carrot!  Don't give up now!"

A second charge is sent into his heart.

This time, Carrot's heart starts working for a moment, but then fails again.
