((Oh, it's on.))
The daemon looks for the mirror that isn't reflecting anything, and smashes that.
((I know the mirror trick, and I just solved it, DEAL-WITH-IT-FACE))

[Rentorian]

I reach Khenal soon after Starkey does, the daemon taint is clear on Khenal's face.
"No no no no no no no no NO!" I gibber.  "Negs!  We need to go in there after him!"
Go in?!  Leave here?!  And go in there?!  After the daemon?!
"Can you follow it or not?!"
Only if Khenal will let us in!  But going after a daemon.  It's not good, very not good!
My body starts to twitch away form Khenal, angrily I snap down on Negs' attempts to make us leave.
"We're going to do this.  Two of us may not be able to defeat a daemon but with the help of him we might have a chance."
I turn to Khenal.
"If you can hear me give me permission to enter your mind.  Negs can't do that without your consent!"

[Dsarker]

The maze continues through the hall of mirrors, changing every second.

[Impending Doom]

Starkey regains his footing. Turning to face Khenal, he finds him standing precisely where he was before, still as a statue. He approaches, gently prodding him in the side.

"Khenal, friend, are you alright?"

[Khenal]

'Give me some credit.  Everyone knows that trick.  I did say I wouldn't make it easy on you.'

"yes...can't hold...forever...too fast."

[The Master]

"ENOUGH OF THIS!"
The daemon creates an explosion, shattering all the mirrors and hurling himself all the way to the keeper.

[Dsarker]

"Oh, hello there Cockroach. Just a second."


He shimmers, and where there once was one, there is now fifty. Each of them shimmer and become fifty again. And so on, and so forth.

[Rentorian]

"He's too far gone," I mutter.  "Is there anything you can do to harm the daemon?"
I might be able to drain the daemon a little, but it will hurt us both.  A lot.
"Do it."
I fling the gate in my mind wide open and lights of emotion spring up around me, Khenal is a strange mixture of his own colors as well as an angry almost black light smothering him.  I can almost see the faint tinkling of a third set of lights underneath it all.  Negs reaches out and grabs at the daemon's lights and pulls hard.

[Khenal]

"Carrot's...earring..."

"OH HORSEAPPLES!!!! THAT'S SO UNFAIR!" The daemon yells in a spoiled tone of voice.
The daemon comes out of Khenal, and into Granite.

[Dsarker]

"Good. Because I was never here in the first place."

The pseudo-Keepers turn into thousands of cells, each surrounding the daemon, and each stronger and more secure than the last.

[Khenal]

The daemon is stopped by a new chain, and this one seems far less inclined to simply shatter.  It traces from Cockroach to Carrot's earring.  His artifact adamantine earring.

[The Master]

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!" The Daemon screams eternally. Psycho heart naturally begins to fail, as the daemon, all this time, was the one that was keeping Psycho alive. He begins to twist and convulse as the symptoms of heart attack begin to manifest themselves.

[Rentorian]

it's it's not here!
"Good," I mutter as waves of pain sweep over me.  "Where is it now?"
The earring!  it's in there!  It might not be able to escape!  We're safe!
I notice the pain on Psycho's face.  "Oh pit no."

[The Master]

"Well..." Psycho says, with determination "It looks like...i'm done for..." Psycho says before his eyes close.
