Psycho's voice begins to get louder and louder.
"Esther...Esther...Esther..."

[Khenal]

I whisper to Granite: "No, but that may be a good sign."

"Yes, pleasure and pain.  What you feel in your bleeding leg is pain and it means you should stop beating it against the wall.  Pleasure is a little more abstract, though.  Um, you could go feel your bed.  It's fairly soft and nice."

I then notice Carrot.

"...Not good."

[The Master]

I suddenly get up, eyes bloodshot, and start ramming my head into anypony nearby, while still mumbling 'Esther' over and over, louder and louder!

[Impending Doom]

Starkey is bored. He's been forbidden from training  - doctor's orders, on account of his wing - and Carrot left almost twenty minutes ago, leaving nopony interesting to talk to. He'd take a nap, but he isn't really interested in interrogating Schmoe right now.

Well, he's still got legs, hasn't he? Surely the doc won't mind if he goes for a stroll so long as he doesn't try to fly anywhere. He decides to go pay a visit to Khenal, something about a book he wanted him to read?

[Dsarker]

"No, but I feel good when I do this! This must be pleasure!"

I get a headbutt from Carrot directly in my Peytrel, sending me back a foot or two.  My horn lights up as I levitate him off the floor to try to keep him from hurting himself or anypony else.  Keeping my eyes on him, I continue to try to get Friesden to stop hurting herself.

"Please just humor me and rub your other leg on your mattress there.  It should feel better than bashing your leg against the wall."

[Rentorian]

As I see Khenal levitate everypony I look over at him enviously muttering, "Now that would be a useful ability to have."
I sigh to myself and speak up,  "Khenal.  Do you want me to try and get anything to... restrain either of these two?"

[The Master]

Khenal sees a familiar red glow in Psycho eyes.
((Yes, it's you-know-who again.))

[Dsarker]

Friesden thinks, then nods to Khenal's request. She wanders over to the bed and rubs her leg on the mattress.

"No. There is nothing."

[Khenal]

'Son of a bitch.'

"Granite, run!  Find Starkey and tell him Carrot's eyes are glowing!"

My horn flashes brighter as I begin trying to bind this daemon that simply refuses to leave us alone.

[Dsarker]

"Khenal, remember this daemon is powerful enough to break its bonds. You'll have to either expel it, which could be a bad idea, or destroy its essence completely."

[Impending Doom]

As Starkey approaches Khenal's office, he hears the sound of commotion, particularly the raised voice of a certain lieutenant.

'Oh clop no...'

'I don't have to go in there. I can go get back in bed and have a nice rest, without having to deal with demons, lunatics, Carrot. I can just turn around and walk away right now.'

'...no, no I can't.'

Starkey breaks into a trot, heading for the jail.

Psycho stops mumbling and smiles eerily warmly.
"That's not going to work this time, Khenal. Now, straight to business. I want a new body and you will do! No, don't thank me, THANK SCHMOE FOR DYING!" Says the familiar daemon.
