[The Master]

One of the guards turn to Psycho, who gives a nod, an then the guard accompanies Cryptson.

[Rentorian]

Eventually I speak up, "so this assassin.  Who do you think it is?"

[The Master]

"No idea...I don't even know why the clop that Charity is down here..."

[Rentorian]

"Ah, I only know what rumors have told me but apparently there was a trap waiting for her in her office.  Nearly killed her too.  No one is sure who did it or why.  Most people are blaming the Diomedians but I don't think it was them.  They haven't been too organized lately," my voice trails off as my gaze wanders the room.  "The wound looked like it came from a crossbow bolt though so that might narrow the suspects."

[Dsarker]

Friesden awakes in her locked room.

"Hmmm. I don't feel any anger anymore. Maybe if I kill them, it'll bring that back, if nothing else. But how to get out of this room?"

Friesden looks around the room as carefully as she would a pony she was vivisecting.

[The Master]

"WHAT?!" I scream, causing my men to flinch and drop their weapons.
"Uhh...anyway, can I speak to this...Negs?" I ask, semi-humoring Granite, thinking it's just a symptom of schizophrenia.
((I say again Dsarker, YOU. ARE. INSANE!))

[KingStrongbeard]

Doctor Bubbles overhears the conversation while reorganizing his medical instruments. "Yeah, it was a bronze crossbow bolt. I was the one who found, her and brought her here. She said her office was trapped. I think the guard's going to give her office, bed room, and dining room a once over to check for more."

(Looking around the room Friesden will recognize that she's in the old well room. It was an elegant room, dug into a Colbaltite vein, the blue stone runs right through the granite. All the walls have been smoothed and engraved. In the center of the room, is a single bit of brick floor that she remembers is where the old well once was, only 3 stories above the water's surface in the caverns. Also, in the room is the old zinc chain and the wooden bucket from the old well. The floor is stained with blood, and dirtied with mud that ponies have long ago washed off themselves. The room is not as well lit as it once was with only light coming in from the cracks in the wooden door.)

[Rentorian]

"See.  Although it was a terrible shot, didn't get anywhere near any vital points so I don't think it was one of your guys.  Unless one of them is a bad shot."  My eyes narrow suddenly, "they are all good shots right?"

[KingStrongbeard]

Bubbles interrupts "oh I don't think the assassin actually shot her himself. He might have, but I got to the scene fairly fast, and I didn't see anypony suspicious. Plus, Miss Charity said she triggered a trap. I didn't take the time to look myself, of course, what with her being injured and all, but I see no reason to think she would confuse an assailant with a preset trap."

[Rentorian]

"Huh, I guess that just leaves us with anyone that can set up a door triggered trap.  How many good mechanics are there around here?"

[The Master]

Frustrated by being ignored, I grab a book off a table and hurl it at Bubbles.
"AS I WAS SAYING!" I say enraged.

[Rentorian]

I turn politely towards Psycho
"As you were saying?"

[The Master]

"Thank you. Now, this Negs...You know it's just in your mind right? He's not real."

[Rentorian]

I stare flatly at him.
"Are you just as quick to discard the ideas of the demon that seemed to have had possessed that madpony in the other room?  Just because you can't experience it doesn't make it any less real."

[The Master]

((I hadn't woken originally yet.))
"Don't tell me...Friesden went berserk...again..." I sigh, not even slightly surprised.
