"ok,ok ok,ok,ok," Couth kept repeating. he pranced around the crime scene, habitually combing through his wildly unkempt violet mane in deep thought.

"only killed two ponies, no pressure, no pressure, oh no pressure! I killed two ponies in cold blood! what do I do!" he bawled!

the pony slowly turns his head stares down the chasm again, considering falling down it too, an option

"well," he gulps "that IS a way out."

as he stares into the abyss he finds some clarity.

no, everyone still thinks I'm a normal citizen, I just need to act like it. he thinks.

ok,ok, I'm a normal citizen, I just saw an accident. what do I do?

"Report it to captain Khenal." he says calmly.

And regardless, we're ponies, not dwarves

Friesden begins to stir.

Maybe it's because most of the time when people think pony they think female.

"Makes me wonder what's happened here to make him so willing to see us as the better alternative."

I walk off aimlessly, muttering to myself.

Still stirring, Friesden says sleepily "Kill you."

I continue wandering around the fort aimlessly, soon enough I find myself back at the hospital.
"Negs.  Why are we back here?"
How should I know.  Maybe you weren't paying attention to where you were going.
"No, I may not have had a destination in mind but I was trying to see parts of the fort I hadn't seen yet.  Unless you've forgotten we've already been here."
Well, I... You see...
FINE!  I may have nudged you a little bit so you would come back here but I really want to taste that one pony that was in here, she smelled so good!
"You just had a massive meal!  What more could you want?"

Psycho awakes with a start.
"AH! WHAT HAPPENED?! I remember khenal scarring me, then I jumped out a window...It's all blank after that." Psycho says, confused.

As Psycho looks around his surroundings, he will see lying in a nearby bed, is the Countess Charity. She is currently asleep. Next to her sits, her family, Cryptson and their 4 foals. Cryptson looks grim, even by his usual standards. He looks over to Psycho and says, "Captain Carrot, please be quite, Charity is resting now. If you will listen, and promise not to yell, I will catch you up to speed."

Friesden continues to wake.

"Alright. What happened?" I ask in a whisper.

[Dsarker]

Suddenly screaming, Friesden bolts awake.

[KingStrongbeard]

"As I understand your situation. You fell and hit your head. I don't know the details, but I heard Doctor Bubbles saying that Khenal and the Commander may have saved your life. However, the more pressing issue, is that somepony has tried to assissinate my wife. Her office was trapped and she took a bolt to the chest. The doctors say she'll live, but the perpetrator is still loose."

Edit: Ninja'd by Dsarker so, I guess Cryptson manages to get that out before the scream?

Hearing the scream I rush into the room.
"What's going on?"
