If I recall, Friesden's Diary (not the "new diary") was written in blood for the most part. Is that correct?

I sit in my room, looking at Friesden's diary and working up the courage to explore the memories of Schmoe.  The water destroyed every one of my books on magic, as well as the bits of paperwork that I had.

'I wish I had my books, or at least new ones.  Anything that might give me a better idea of what to expect from these memories.  I swear, that office is cursed.  First the ceiling collapses, then it gets flooded?'

*****************

Friesden's Diary is mostly in ink, her new diary is mostly in blood.  I think.  By now, everypony who should have read Khenal's book will have, and it's back in my room.  I don't think anyone has anything weird planned with my book, but just incase anyone needs to know where it is.

Psycho heads to Khenal's room and knocks on the door with his head; carrying a mountain of books that he thought would replace Khenal's damaged ones.

"Hm?"

I get up and answer the door, surprised to find what appears to be a massive pile of books with four legs and Carrot's head.

"Oh, hey Carrot.  Come in, wont you?"

My horn glows as I levitate the mountain of books off Carrot and stack them by a wall.

"Are you alright?  What's with all the books?"

"Oh. I heard your office was flooded, so I spent some money and bought you some replacement books! I doubt that you would need them, but could you at least try them?" I say, ready to take the books back if Khenal doesn't like them.

"I'd be happy to look through them, Carrot.  Thank you so much!"

I give him a grateful smile before turning to see just what kinds of books he's managed to obtain.

Khenal sees alot of books that look the same as his old ones, but three in particular stand out: Symptoms of the Diomedian Parasite, Defer Sin, and Falkner's Guide to Dark Magic and Possession.

I give a low whistle as I scan the titles.

"That's quite the collection, Carrot.  Thank you!

My wonder turns to slight confusion.  "Where did you get all these?  It took me almost a year to get this many books from the caravans."

I blush. "It took quite a while to get these. I had to barter away alot of my own possessions to acquire them! One of the books is quite odd...Defer Sin. It almost feels like that book's title is an anagram for something...There a book on anagrams in that pile somewhere. Oh, and I also want you to have this." I reach into the bag I had been carrying and pull out a small dagger with the word Loyalty inscribed on it. "After all the stuff you've done and helped me through, I thought I'd give you something to remind you of your loyalty."
