I'm laying in my hospital bed, trying to relax and let my burns heal.  No permanent damage was done, but my mane and tail are going to be quite short for a while, and my wings will barely work for anything more than gliding until new feathers replace the burnt ones.

I am deep in thought when Carrot enters the hospital, not noticing him.

"Khenal, Friesden, can you hear me?"
"Their burns are pretty severe. However, I believe they can heal over time."

I blink a few times before realizing somepony is trying to talk to me.

"Huh?  Oh, Dr. Bubbles.  How are you?"

"I'm fine, Khenal. It's you I'm worried about. Anyways, Lieutenant Carrot is here. He wants to see you."

"Khenal!" I say, rushing up to him. "Are you feeling better?"

"Oh, hello Carrot!"  I give him a friendly smile.  "I'm a bit sore and burnt, and my magic isn't back to 100% yet either, but I'll be fine.  How are you holding up after yesterday?"

[The Master]

I shurg, "Aside from discovering that I've actually been dead for quite some time? Fine! I've gotten used to it, and it sure is fun to scare people with my lack of a pulse!" I say with a sly grin.

[Khenal]

"Heh, it's hard to keep you down, isn't it?  How is Commander Starkey?"

[The Master]

"Dunno actually...I haven't seen him since yesterday...Oh! I just remembered! I thought of this really awesome song and I sang it in front of everyone in the barracks! You should've seen them running about, screaming...It was priceless! "Not bad, if a bit...morbid.  Actually, that reminds me."  I turn to Dr. Bubbles.  "Dr. Bubbles?  Have you finished reading my book yet?  I think Commander Starkey should be the next to get the whole story, especially after yesterday."
