The chain seems to loose balance and slips off Friesden's leg.  I grimace with the effort of trying to make it wrap around her leg again

I strain to secure the single loop around Friesden, then take the other end of the chain in my mouth.  I pull, praying that I'll drag Schmoe from Friesden.
