James looked back at the geomancer. He hesitated for a moment, because right now he was quite angry, but made his choice.

"You're right... Kill that bastard for me!"

And he started to run after the vans. This time, he was sprinting like hell and he quickly reached high speed. Five vans had escaped - if he tried to catch them one by one, he would not be able to get them all. It took him a few minutes to find them, and after that about thirty seconds to get in front of the first van again. This time, however, he did not wait for the hit - he simply rammed the leading vehicle. The driver of the first van died from the hit, the second van was wrecked against the first and the third managed to stop. The two others tried to drive around, and James was too stunned to stop them. As they were driving away, he killed the guards of the stopped vehicles and checked all the vans - two were empty, one contained prisonners. He got them out of their cages, and fell on the ground. He had never used that much energy in such a short time before.

He felt his body changing, trying to give in more energy, but that would take a long time - this kind of evolution was always the slowest. Ignoring the prisonners, he stayed there laying on his back, waiting until the evolution was done.

Following his firing on the last van, Karl slowed his pace as he watched events unfold. He kept The Gun levelled and loaded with AP rounds just in case. The supers on the scence cleared the stopped vans, in thier disorganized and chaotic way. 5 trucks left thier stricken comrades behind, and an unusual wall of blades that burst from what his suit told him was blood disrupted the pursuit - this was moving towards Karl at a moderate pace, but presented little or no threath to him. Suddenly a fresh intel databurst dominated his consiousness - the suit felt he needed to know this urgently.

Priority One: Primary objective in lead truck

Filled with a fresh sense of purpose, he picked up the chase again, but this time Karl pushed his suit to match the speed of the escaping trucks. This pushed it to its overheating limit, but this would casue no lasting damage. He burst through the wall of blades which glanced harmlessly off the outer ceramic layers of the suit, passed the supers dealing with the already halted trucks and was gaining the rearmost of the 5 trucks. Suddenly the lead truck hit something and violently came to a rest, with the second impacting on is rear shortly afterwards. Karl could not see what had brought them to rest but also had little intrest, as whatever it was had given him the opportunity he needed - the first 2 were clearly going no further. A humanoid figure moved with some efficiency between the cabs of the first 3 trucks, presumably taking care of thier occupants as the third stalled just after the figure jumped into the driver cab. The rear two moved to get around the crash site. Karl, not more than 20 m away, raised The Gun and riddled the driver cabs of the rear two trucks with phosphorous incendiary rounds - nothing would be getting out of them alive. Passing the burining cabs Karl slowed to a walk and dailled up anti-personel flachette ammunition. As he rounded to the first truck, he found one super he recognised as the figure moving between the cabs laid flat out, and a small number of others looking dazed and bewildered. So, which one of these was the one he was after? He requested instructions from HQ...

Arthur stared at the spikes of blood for a moment, until he noticed something. Apparently the man in the suit had requested more information regarding "his target".

That settled it. He was after Arthur. And seemed to follow information given to him. Arthur pondered for a moment. "Primary target not found. Stop and search all trucks."

Arthur wondered when people would catch up on what he was doing.

Alex was helping out the wounded one, when he saw a storm of red disks coming at him.  He dove behind the nearest van, avoiding the blades, and although several punched through his coat, he was not hit.  However, many of the ones caught in the open were not as lucky.  He pulled out his gun, and aimed around the corner of the van where the wall had come from.  He aimed at the receding car, but had no way of knowing whether it was a civilian or not, so he ran in that direction, trying to keep to what little cover he had.

Primary target not found. Stop and search all trucks.

Apparently none of those gathering around the unconsious super were the one his controllers were after. A quick search of the rear of the 5 trucks turned up nothing - 4 were empty, and the mangled front truck had contained the individuals now mingling around the KO'ed individual. It wasnt the first time the intel provided by his controllers was wrong, and the usual frustation began to surface. Deciding to go by the book to he very letter, Karl contacted his controllers as opposed to using his initiative. He wasnt going to do the donky work in finding whoever compromized the MilNet if they werent able to tell him who they were looking for and where to look for them.

Control: Search result negative. 1 KO combatant (WIA?), 5 prisoners released. Request course of action.

There was a slight delay in the response, and it wasnt the one he expected:

No engagement or search of trucks was ordered. Hold position and await further orders.

Thats all he needed: some greenhorn running comms...

It had seemed that the woman was going to be fine and just needed some rest. Zeox was looking around qt the stuff in Peter's garage.

"Whats this stuff?" he asked pointing to some containers in the back.

"Uh it's this special gel that you can put on yourself and set on fire without getting burnt. We've been trying to develop a thin power suit that can burst into flames on command so I've been working with the stuff and-"

Peter was interrupted by the tv suddenly showing a special news report on the carnage on the highway

Zeox stared at it "My god what are they doing?!?" Zeox grabbed one of the containers. " Mind if I borrow this? Gotta go and bye!"

"Hey what are you doing?! What do you know about this come bac-,"

But Zeox had already gotten on his bike and drove off

Wei had caught up to the trucks, he had been slowed by the traffic and much to his annoyance, the trucks had been captured by at least 3 other supers, one of which was lying on the ground, a second rounding a corner after throwing a boulder and looked like a man covered in stone, and another had a gun and power suit which he both recognised.

Well, I was wondering when they would finally get a usable result from the prototypes.

Changing his priorities, Wei decided to go for the drivers instead, which is what he should have done from the beginning he now realised. First, he had to distract the supers. Driving past the wreckage by going onto the sidewalk, mowing down a civilian or two, he managed to get around the wrecked trucks and squealed to a halt infront of the stopped trucks.

First things first, eliminate the ranged support.

A large blob seperated from the mass in the back seat and shot forth towards the power armoured man, spreading out in midair to cover a wider area. As soon as it hit the man, he would jellify it and push it into all the cracks of the suit, making the blood sticky and hard to remove.

Now to pin the others.

A second blob shot forth to the man on the ground, splattering all over him and jellifying into the same sticky substance as before. This one would make him stick to the ground securely. Finally, he flipped the wrecks of the wrecked vans into the path of the stone man, blocking his progress.

There. That should buy some time. Now, to business...

As Wei stepped out of the car, tendils of blood stole into the two nearest vans, both of which still had living drivers. He was going to take them both. Bursting both driver side doors open, as well as the rear cargo doors, flinging two at the power armored man for good measure, Wei pulled both drivers from their seats and shoved them into his car roughly. After a pause, he rotated both vans entirely, lifting both off the ground and turning so the rears faced him. A quick glance inside told him just what he suspected. Power nullifiers. Short range no dout, but working nonetheless. He ripped both of them out at length, shutting one off but tearing it open and placing the other still working one next to the man on the ground.

A present. Enjoy it while it lasts.

After slinging the nullifier into the boot of his car, Wei looked over the scene once more, readying a small wave of blood for defense if need be, to see if anything would impede his escape.

James was starting to recover. Evolution had kicked in, and he had the impression his energy was coming back rather quickly. But only a moment later... He was covered in blood. Sticky, jelly-like blood. He tried to move - but the substance was too sticky. That was surprising. Maybe his evolution had simply burned a lot of muscle to give him energy - or maybe this was really sticky blood.

He tried to get up again. This time, he did not stop after he realized he could'nt move - he simply tried harder. His legs and his arms got stronger and stronger, and eventually most muscles in his body were starting to evolve. However, before he got up the bastard doing this to him placed a power nullifier next to him - and all of a sudden he was a normal human, pinned to the ground and not strong enough to move. He resisted to the urge of insulting the bastard controling the blood - he had never been vulnerable like that in his entire life. He simply stopped resisting, and looked at the sky, cursing his stupidity. He should'nt have rammed the van. It had only been a waste of energy. However, soon his curiosity surpassed his fear, and he asked a question to the man keeping him against the ground.

"Who... The h-hell are... You?"

Wei turned to smile at the pinned human.

"I'm a businessman at heart if it makes you feel any better. And this for making my life difficult."

A spike of blood suddenly stabbed into the mans chest, just missing his heart, making a large and roughly edged hole.

"Don't do it again."

PTM found him, and moved up in his power suit, taking out a pebble, and simply hurling the thing at max speeed, power enhanced. And at the lat moment when it was right about to hit the blood-manipulator, he turned it into a boulder, saying rather woozily "Hah, I found you..."

Wei saw the rock man climb onto one of the cars he had tossed in his way and throw something at him. Thanking his presence of mind to prepare defenses before, Wei surged the blood wave infront of him and redirect the pebble out of the way. What he didn't expect was for it to suddenly expand into a boulder, the force of its expansion throwing the blood around it away. The boulder managed to only clip Wei but it sent him spinning to the ground in pain.

Ouch... Didn't see that one coming.

After a moment, he simply stood up again, a nasty bruise all over his left side fading quickly as he knitted his tissue back together. He had taken the caution of hardening his body using his own blood as soon as he saw the rock man climb onto the van. He wouldn't take any more chances with that one again.

He flipped both vans onto the rockman with a sudden surge of blood, bending the metal down onto him to pin him to the ground. He then covered his head with jellied blood and shoved it down his airway.

"I don't appreciate you harming my person."

It was time to leave. Not wanting to chance the gunman, Wei sent a snap wave of blood at him at ankle height at high speed and then flipped the three other vans onto him for good measure.

"My reguards gentlemen."

Wei entered the car, restraining the two drivers with blood gags and bonds and hit the gas. A few seconds later, he had left the scene. He had two drivers to interrogate...

Rick (Nothing manipulating scientist):

Rick had sat on the roof of a nearby building, watching the fight and eating a hot dog.
Well, this is turning out to be a better day than I though it would be!
Not only had he gained superpowers and found out he was in possession of large sums of money, he was pretty sure he wasn't ever going to be bored with the rediculous amount of chaos in this city.
He had debated joining in, but decided against it, seeing as how there was nothing to gain and how he wanted to see what happened as the supers turned on each other.
Besides, he had rather wanted to finish his hot dog.

((He cannot interact with it once out of range, but the blood still holds whatever form and force it had when he was using it. Eg throwing tank busting spikes at long range, once out of range he can't redirect them, but they remain solid and keep the force he put into them for as long physics allows. In other words, you are still stuck. Sorry, that's physics for ya.))
