Realizing how sappy she sounds all of a sudden, she turns away and walks back and forth to take her mind off of what she, and probably only she, perceived as a really awkward thing that she'd just said.

KM: Sadly, no. I do have ten seperate mountains of ancient junk food which is currently placating the salamanders.

TB: Except they're probably eat|ng the wrappers too
KM: I'm trying to get them to do that but they're too busy being placated. Also, I'm thinking of backup plans if this doesn't work.

KM: Man. If only I could get a time player to go into the future to where I have all these ladders, steal them from me and give them to past me which, might I add, is current me.

Mimi heads out of the factory and looks around at the rest of the waiting Salamanders.

"Everyone, we're going to regroup and come help you out later. We've encountered some problems in actually getting you the fruit. In the meantime, there's plenty of ancient junk food in a pile in the factory. I'm headed back to the village now."

"Hey, wa!t for me." Emily hastily follows, glancing at the salamanders one last tome before exiting the factory. She can't help but think she'd like to have one of those as a pet or something. "Are we meet!ng up at the v!llage or go!ng back to the old factory?"

As the pair exit the factory, the salamanders follow shortly, carrying payloads of ancient dessicated snackfoods. Judging from the bags, the fruit chips are the favorite.

Upon your arrival at the village, the salamanders scatter, distributing the snack foods as they judge fit. The rather small amount of food is depleted in mere minutes.

The village elder approaches you, looking rather disappointed. "I take it there were some kind of difficulties?"

"Yes. The factories house no easily-accessible utilities for the villagers to climb and get to the fruit. Normally, we would create some, but we've been... ah... 'locked out' from our creation devices. We may, unfortunately, have to head to spiral gate and come back as soon as we can."

No regrets.

You get a +2 to Science checks so long as you have it, and as an immediate interrupt, when you are reduced to 0 hit points by an enemy attack, the triggering enemy is attacked, possibly being slain. Also, you get a +2 bonus to your saving throw versus death next turn.

The pair head toward the gate, Troy fussing over Mikhael the entire way. Not that it is a long way.

 Soon enough, the first gate is reached.
