Line of thinking for Mikheal: Most of new units are recruits. They likely rely on their leader. All of them likely have also ever even heard of a Firearm ever, let alone such a loud and destructive one like a Hand-cannon. The defying noise alone should make them piss their pants.

Edit: I also really wish I could get on pesterchum. I need to ask a few dudes as to the location of Claires gate so Mikheal can join up with everyone.

Okay, apparently everyone does think you're a useless, whiny loser, or alternatively some kind of uncontrollable monster that snaps as easily as a toothpick. You go as far away from the Courtyard Droll as you can in the circular entrance chamber, and sit in an emo-tastic huff.

This set-up is quickly compromised by the droll following you around, trying to find out what you're so upset about. You get up and move away whenever he gets kind of close though.

She gets out of your line of sight, and you lose her in the water. Well. This day is not going as well as you might have hoped.

(Well, Mimi beat two of Thero's athletics checks in a row right off the bat, the second netting her a positive complication via the magic of getting doubles. The party is split. Again.)

You retrieve your handcannon and fire at the leader. Unbelievably, he dodges to one side, and the shot sails past. You ready yourself to slug it out with these avians.

One of the archers reacts more quickly than his fellows, and fires an arrow at you. The projectile glances off one of your shoulder plates.



Edit: Forgot to mention: The dark green squares are large bushes, and count as difficult terrain.

You swim underneath the freight boat (at least, you are assuming it is a freighter- It's where all the Dersites were taking the crystal they were harvesting), and try to keep a low profile while keeping up. It's tough, but it looks like you're probably far away enough now that you probably won't be seen distinctly, even if the water in your land is pretty much crystal clear.

Unfortunately, it looks like the freighter is starting to pick up speed.

You keep swimming for a little while, until you spot a nearby island. You make your way there, and climb onto land. And frogs. Let's be honest here, mostly frogs.
