Tree Branch: Fall on Danielle's head.
Danielle: Wake up.
let's just continue this running gag of RL never ever getting anything fully done on Prospit
Seems like a thing to do that could have hilarious implications.
You wake up on the forest floor, after a branch falls on your head. and your phone is going off.
[12:15] -- repentantAntagonist [RA] began pestering ragingLunatic [RL] at 00:15 --
[12:16] RA: hey
[12:16] RL: hey
[12:16] RL: I didn't die
[12:16] RL: ssso your assssss livesss another day
[12:16] RA: yp, and i do believe we had a bargain, and i'm ready to hold up my end
[12:16] RA: so, what do you want to know?
[12:16] RL: hmm.
[12:17] RL: well, firsst of all, how many of you nutty people are there trying to messss with our ssessssion?
[12:17] RA: ugh
[12:17] RA: there are so many
[12:17] RA: so many, many meddlers
[12:17] RL: tell me about it :|
[12:17] RA: this is the most meddled iteration of the session i've stumbled across yet
[12:18] RA: and, the one that has gotten the farthest now, courtesy of you. funny, that
[12:18] RL: wait what?
[12:18] RA: well
[12:18] RL: wat'd I do?
[12:18] RA: you saved the session
[12:18] RA: maybe
[12:18] RA: i confess, i don't know what comes next now
[12:19] RA: could be another game-breaking disaster for all i know
[12:19] RL: well you're helpful
[12:19] RL: sso what exactly wass it that wass happening with Alex?
[12:19] RA: okay, he is the mage of rage. you knew that already, right?
[12:20] RL: I knew about the mage bit, and I think I may have heard rage sometime before
[12:20] RA: okay then
[12:20] RA: well, the mage part isn't important this minute
[12:20] RA: but the rage aspect has a couple traits that come with it
[12:20] RL: that was one, I'm guessing?
[12:21] RA: not precisely
[12:21] RL: okay, continue explaining
[12:21] RA: rage player's, first and foremost, are naturally gifted combatants
[12:22] RA: and, interestingly, they are, on average, generally calm and collected, mostly.
[12:22] RA: however
[12:22] RA: they are universally unstable
[12:22] RA: at least, in my experience
[12:22] RA: if they are pushed too far by any event
[12:22] RL: so they flip their shit every so often
[12:22] RA: their power can move out of control
[12:22] RA: yeah
[12:23] RL: huh.
[12:23] RA: the problem with alex is that he flips his shit so early in your session
[12:23] RA: if he'd gotten a bit of control over his aspect first, he might have been able to cool down on his own
[12:24] RA: or one of any of the other players could have stood a chance at stopping him
[12:24] RL: so why'd it have to be me to do it?
[12:24] RA: because
[12:24] RA: you're his best friend
[12:24] RA: know anything about trolls?
[12:24] RL: not.. really
[12:25] RL: they're prominently assholes, I guess?
[12:25] RA: not really
[12:25] RA: i've met a few
[12:25] RA: there are cultural differences, but they aren't so bad
[12:25] RA: they tend to be rude at first meetings though
[12:25] RA: but anyway, trolls have 4 different kinds of romance
[12:26] RL: yeah, I think one of them mentioned black romance or something
[12:26] RA: They're divided into four quadrants by two axes
[12:26] RA: positive and neative
[12:26] RA: *negative
[12:26] RA: and strong and weak
[12:27] RA: strong positive is what we think of as love
[12:27] RA: and that black romance you mentioned is negative strong
[12:27] RA: It's kind of like a tense rivalry, but with making out
[12:27] RA: anyway
[12:27] RL: o_O
[12:27] RA: the important concept to get here, is that i got the idea from this troll kid
[12:28] RA: who told me about the positive weak quadrant
[12:28] RA: it's called a moirallegiance
[12:28] RL: mo-what
[12:29] RA: it's like soul-mates, but platonically speaking. and for trolls, it mostly means one keeps the other from flipping out and killing anyone they can reach
[12:29] RL: huh.
[12:29] RA: i decided to see if it would work, and i knew there couldn't be anyone else it could work with
[12:29] RA: not that it was easy going, mind you
[12:30] RL: okay then
[12:30] RA: what other questions do you have? or would you rather continue this conversation in person?
[12:30] RL: so what's the deal with BT and the meteor thing?
[12:30] RA: ah, that, i have no idea
[12:31] RA: so far, it is unique to this session
[12:31] RA: same with Troy's badfuture double
[12:31] RL: wait, what?
[12:31] RA: what huh?
[12:32] RL: badfuture double?
[12:32] RL: the hell?
[12:32] RA: ah
[12:32] RA: well
[12:32] RA: as the time player, there are more troy's popping around than anyone else
[12:32] RA: wasn't hard to recognize him
[12:32] RA: don't know where he is, or what is game is though
[12:32] RA: he's acting weird
[12:33] RL: okay then
[12:34] RA: so... anything else?
[12:34] RL: so how many of the other trolls do you know of?
[12:34] RL: and do you know anything about them?
[12:34] RA: unique to this iteration of the session?
[12:34] RL: like if they might randomly decide to come crashing into things with meteors
[12:34] RA: Just that at least one of them is actually a troll
[12:34] RA: and they can't do that
[12:34] RA: it is literally beyond their power
[12:35] RL: yeah
[12:35] RL: okay
[12:35] RL: right
[12:35] RL: so how'd BT pull it off?
[12:35] RA: i think he got ahold of an iteration of troy's time control device, at least for a few moments
[12:36] RA: lucky bastard dropped real close in. took me a long time to learn anything remotely approaching precision
[12:36] RA: you don't know how bad it is hopping timelines only to discover you're there too late just when you arrive
[12:36] RL: wait, what?
[12:36] RL: hopping timelines?
[12:36] RA: yes
[12:37] RA: i've been doing it for
[12:37] RA: a long, long time
[12:37] RA: 612 iterations of this universe
[12:37] RA: counting the one i'm from
[12:38] RL: o_O
[12:38] RL: so you're another time person then?
[12:38] RA: not exactly
[12:38] RA: i'm from time travel, i guess it what i should say
[12:38] RA: but i'm not a time aspect
[12:39] RA: ((brb))
[12:39] RL: ((k))
[12:41] RA: ((back, go ahead))
[12:42] RL: how the heck does that work?
[12:42] RA: poorly
[12:42] RA: i swiped troy's time device and went looking for a way to help
[12:42] RA: he wasn't using it
[12:43] RL: troy seems to get his time stuff nicked a lot
[12:43] RA: not really
[12:43] RL: how do you know the other trolls won't et a shot at it?
[12:43] RA: they're outside the session
[12:44] RA: i haven't encountered any way to move from one to another, so there you go.
[12:44] -- ragingLunatic [RL] began pestering repentantAntagonist [RA] at 00:44 --
[12:44] RL: ((internet issues?))
[12:44] RA: ((yeah))
[12:44] RA: then again, i suppose we shouldn't rule anything out
[12:45] RL: yeah, if this game has taught me anything, it's that weird shit can and will happen
[12:45] RA: you don't know the half of it
[12:45] RL: yeah, that's the other thing I know about this game
[12:45] RL: I have no damn idea what I'm doing
[12:45] RL: is that supposed to happen?
[12:45] RA: don't beat yourself up about it
[12:46] RA: no one in this session does. most people in most sessions don't.
[12:46] RL: okay then
[12:47] RL: oh, one more thing
[12:47] RL: what the heck are the titles supposed to mean?
[12:47] RA: The titles represent your class and aspect
[12:47] RL: like, you mentioned Rage had something to do with Alex flipping his shit
[12:48] RL: but you didn't say anything about mage
[12:48] RL: and what the heck is mine supposed to do?
[12:48] RA: your aspect reflects some personality traits and some low level abilities you acquire
[12:48] RA: class is far more important, at least that i've seen
[12:49] RA: as for what your aspect being blood really means, sorry. i don't really know
[12:49] RL: :\ okay then
[12:49] RA: your class is representative partially of your upbringing but mostly of the way you carry yourself in dangerous situations
[12:50] RA: and also, most heirs are incredibly strong
[12:50] RA: like yourself.
[12:50] RL: makes sense I guess?
[12:50] RL: alright, I think that's it
[12:50] RL: anything else you think you should add?
[12:51] RA: well...
[12:51] RA: i kind of would like to see you in person
[12:51] RA: it's not the same thing through a screen.
[12:51] RL: but didn't you just say that's kind of.... impossible?
[12:51] RA: no
[12:51] RA: i said it was impossible for people outside the session
[12:51] RA: i've always been in all of yours
[12:52] RL: whut.
[12:52] RA: hehe
[12:52] RA: well, i suppose i've been rather cryptive
[12:52] RL: this is going to be one of those things that I have to see before I get to know, isn't it
[12:53] RA: well, not necesarily. but would you rather i telly ou, or show you?
[12:53] RA: personally, i'd like to see the look of surprise on your face
[12:53] RL: whichever
[12:53] RA: so do i have permission then?
[12:53] RL: I guess
[12:53] RL: why do you need permission?
[12:54] RA: i figure it's polite
[12:54] RL: okay then
[12:54] RL: I guess I should wait for... whatever?
[12:54] RA: alright, i'll be there soon. make sure to watch the skies.
[12:54] RA: ((I'll post the log))
[12:54] -- repentantAntagonist [RA] ceased pestering ragingLunatic [RL] at 00:54 --
Fishsprite: The temperature in the tank rose 7 degrees. You should find a way to bring it down before any of the others go belly up.
Claire: ha ha ha this is so weird
Claire: first the turtles and now you talking
Claire: anyway let's get to the point: i shouldn't use the ice, that might be a bit sudden for them...
Claire: i guess i could leave the lights and pump off, those might be generating heat
Claire: or i could put a fan over the water
Claire: got any ideas?
Fishsprite: The pump does generate heat, but it's too important to turn off. I think leaving the lights off would be best.
Fishsprite: Why isn't your server building your house? Do you know?
Claire: hmm i don't know
Claire: last i heard from him, he went cliff diving
Fishsprite: That sounds dangerous. At least you have that rocketpack. Does it have enough fuel to get you to your second gate?
Claire: i don't think so, the first time, it only got me up to the first gate with only a couple feet left to spare
Claire: maybe it'll be different now that i've refilled it
Fishsprite: If you aren't sure whether or not it will reach the 2nd gate with you alone, how do you plan to proceed when your friends arrive.
Claire: they said they had flying devices of their own, i'll probably end up riding them up
Claire: or maybe you could carry me up? you can fly right?
Fishsprite: Normally, I wouldn't consider it.
Fishsrpite: And tell you your server needs to build your house.
Fishsprite: But your session is odd. To say the least. I can do that for you.
first off, the fool, i'm guessing you missed where i mentioned the secret door?
*FACEPALM*
"FouNd soMEthInG AlReAdy."
>CR: Investigate the door.
You open up the door, revealing another monitor room. This one is functioning though! Status messages scroll across the screen. Make science skill rolls to investigate.
Posting from my phone, so I can`t do much. Two things though. first off, the fool, i'm guessing you missed where i mentioned the secret door? Second, johnfalcon, what exactly are you doing? taking your second wind and a total defense action? you can`t make saving throws until the end of your turn, so you either attack blind or not at all this turn.
Ok then. Mikheal does a defensive action then before the Saving Throw.
Blinded as you are, you decide it'd be a better idea to catch your breath and fight defensively. You restore yourself to 43 hitpoints
and focus not on the darkness in front of your eyes, but the sound filtering into your ears. Luckily, your vision clears quickly.
And not a moment too soon. Your enemy swings another megaton punch at you, and you dodge easily.
>Alex: ReflectWell, at least she says she isn't mad at you. That's a small mercy. But what will you do? That could happen again, and what if you don't stop? What if you hurt her, or anyone of your other friends? You'd never forgive yourself. For now, you'll stay asleep, and try to figure out what you're going to do with yourself.
>RA: DescendDanielle, now waiting for RA, stands waiting in the clearing.
And overhead, coming down, is... Alex?
As the figure touches down in an extremely old looking rocketpack, it is clear that this is not your Alex. Not that a glance behind you or common sense couldn't tell you that. He's just... older. A lot taller too. And grimmer than you usually think of Alex being, murder spree notwithstanding.
BT steps in front of Danielle, massive sword drawn.
"IS THAT ENTIRELY NECESSARY?"
