Might want to specifically move out of the way of the crossbow, then.

Also, after over a hundred pages of being by ourselves, party combat is a little jarring.

Wait, you're running to the other end of the bridge and holding your attack? What's the trigger?

Might want to specifically move out of the way of the crossbow, then.

Alternatively, you could move a step to the left and be well out of the way of hitting him. You do go later in turn order.

Fair enough.

Steve dashes across the bridge, ready to drop some hardcore science on the basilisk should it engage him.

Mimi steps to the right, lines up her crossbow, and shoots the basilisk right in the eye. It takes 24 damage, and roars in pain.

The bulk of the imps do nothing, as before, but the lone imp moves closer to Steve.

The Fire Basilisk does as well, but hangs back, and shoots a disconcerting Ogle at Mimi. It seems she's learned what to look for though, and blinks at the appropriate time.

The Training basilisk thrashes around a bit, then charges at Steve with murder in its one good eye.

Steve was prepared however, and swings mightily. So mightily, in fact, that when he misses he pulls himself of his feet and onto his ass. Whoops. (Grave Blunder!) He takes 3 damage and grants combat advantage to the basilisk.

The basilisk makes good use of it and bites Steve, who takes another 9 damage.

Steve jumps back into the fight, and an impressive jump it is. He batters the basilisk, dealing 40 points of damage, and jumping back a square onto the bridge.

Mimi squeezes off another bolt, putting the basilisk out of its concussed misery.

The majority of the fire imps continue to hold their position. Whatever it is they are doing back there, it must be important.

One of them however, gets all up in Steve's face, and claws at him for 6 points of damage.

The Fire basilisk also closes range with Steve, but is not so lucky with it's attack.

Steve kills the fire imp, and hits the basilisk for 14 damage, holding it in place. He also take 2 damage from starting his turn in a fire.

Mimi opens fire, dealing 31 damage and shoving the basilisk bodily two spaces.

The remaining fire imps realize that the basilisk is in trouble, and start rushing across the bridge to aid it.

The basilisk, now out of range to attack, and missing it's ranged aggrievements, makes angry faces at the both of you.
