The Rulebook never says I have a limit to how many cards I can make at one time. The extra's just go into my personal Alch Deck to be pulled on later.

John's right about this. You can make as many items as you like, provided you spend the points. This is sound practice at later levels, as at level 6, dropping your level minus two points or more creates a Rare card, which have special and somewhat impractical rules. They can be hugely powerful though, so the choice is yours.

Sorry John, but for balance purposes, I don't think I'm going to allow Anti-personal, Block, or One Use Only. And the Miscellaneous Effect for Jetbike should have less benefits, I'm going to put that to 1 point back instead of 2.

Makes sense, I was confused due to the earlier stuff about TF's items. Having a lot of potential low-level items is not bad I suppose.

The only thing about Alchemy cards that bugs me is how we can't give our items supercharge powers. Maybe that's intentionally specific to the GM deck builder cards.

Can you please tell me why? Block only has a 50/50 chance of working, Anti-Personal is nerfed by Weakened, and I don't even know why you won't allow One Use Only. How could that possibly be OP in any fashion?

And the Miscellaneous Effect for Jetbike should have less benefits
Benefits? It doesn't allow me to use any Melee weapons! How does that help me?!

Upon close inspection, the envelope has already been opened. It contains a letter.

Um. You inspect the map. It is a detailed elevational map of your land. Your head fills with knowledge. More than looking at a simple map ought to, but nothing's worked out normally since you got down here, so the heck with it.

4th Edition, and, by proxy, any conversions based on it, like this one, have a very tight power curve. Enemies that would stop a 2nd level player cold are easy meat for a 4th level player. I don't want to play around with the damage curve too much. There are already plenty of pre-built traits that allow for it already. One Use Only also sounds like a story item, and I don't know who (or what) it is intended for.

Don't insult my intelligence please. You wouldn't take it if it were purely negative without good reason. Well, besides looking badass on a sky-bike. Never a bad reason for that.
All negative traits, like this one, give a trade-off for the opportunity to place more points in other traits. And I don't think disallowing melee weapons is enough to give up for two points, especially considering said vehicle is more than likely going to be used to hover out of enemy reach to shoot them in any case.

RL: Slow down and wait for Alex. Conveniently happen upon exactly what you were looking for. Or some imps. Whichever works.

>Mimi & Steve: Legitimately Enter

You legitimately enter the gate, and appear a stone's throw from a potentially bottomless chasm. Of course, that isn't particularly descriptive on your world. Bridges and Chasms are kind of a thing here. You haven't seen much change yet, apart from the bridges changing the destinations of the uninitiated.

Where will you go? Your map has clearly marked locations for each of the return nodes, and the drop-off points for six of the gates above your house. The two at the top are strangely un-marked... In addition to the return nodes, their are a few other marked locations, including a few small villages, and a temple. Dedicated to frogs, if the map is any indication. Weird.

>Get some dry clothes on, Really.

You swap out for some fresh duds. Honestly, couldn't you have been dropped off in your bathroom? At least then, you wouldn't have soaked your floor. That's bad for the carpet, or some crap.

You just barely finish re-dressing yourself before a small squad of imps burst into your room, followed by a menacing looking black figure wielding an eastern blade.

You ready yourself for battle, but then suddenly the black figure dispatches the imps. He gestures wordlessly to the imps, and sheathes his sword.

Just what the hell is going on here?

RL: Slow down and wait for Alex. Conveniently happen upon exactly what you were looking for. Or some imps. Whichever works.

You decide to wait a bit for Alex to catch up, and slow your pace afterwards. Not everyone was raised by a nutjob with a royalty complex and an obsession with halberds.

...Yeah, you don't really feel like thinking about Guard too much this minute.

Alex finally catches up, and the two of you set forth again. You keep an eye out for plots of land for your snake friends to stake out. Unfortunately, judging from the amount of upturned snake eyes (heheh), this area is already dangerously populated.

All at once, the treeline gets ugly as hell, and you run out of vines to swing on. It's the same shriveling phenomena as before. Alex quickly begins inspecting some of the desiccated lumber.

Somehow I feel like I messed up the math or something.

Ok, first off, I'm sorry if I sounded like I was insulting you Blade. I assure you I didn't mean any offense.

Second, I didn't think the Damage curve was as tight as you discribed it. We have barely even stratched the surface of a game thats take weeks, maybe even months to complete in the canon, and we have already hit level 5. That can throw someones prespective off a little.

Also, "one use only" is not a plot trait in any respect. I clearly said that it was one use per enemy. Meaning I just can't use it against the same enemy twice.

Wait, if it's an item, doesn't that mean it can only be used once per encounter?

Last I checked, you can't do that anyways for Item cards. Of course, I may be wrong, in which case I am going to be spamming that Sun Tzu special attack like there's no tomorrow.
