there'd be plenty of references. Plenty.
SUMMARY TIME

Basically, there are something like 11-12 players we've gone through so far, 3-4 of which have been... displaced due to various acts of GM, SBURB admin powers, and ninjas. Eventually, we got into the game after spending the first month or so of play doing character development. The player that was supposed to enter second entered first, and then everyone just entered as they darn well pleased with no inherent order. Everyone got in, we trounced the shit out of some imps, then we started to really meet the out-of-session characters, of which there are many. After a few incidents with giclopes, falling meteors, and other bullcrap, the aliens sort of quieted down, mostly because people weren't on Pesterchum as much as they were a while ago. Then there was some more shenanigans with killing shit, memos with aliens, and about half the characters woke up on Prospit within 2 turns of each other. And now we're fighting some more shit, making cool armor, and the Knight of Mind is being tempted by eldritch horrors to neutralize the Mage of Rage for some reason.

In short, we're only recently getting to some actual plot stuff.

This is your 155th page and you're just getting to the plot?

ORKS DON'T MUCK ABOUT.

Also I have no idea how to reference any of that. Maybe I'll actually go and read this stuff.

50-posts-per-page master race reporting in, I'm only on the 47th.

And I guess I should correct that, only now are we getting to the creatures in the dark on Derse, which tends to be a bit of a divergent discussion/plot line. I mean, I guess bT's crash into LoSaJ was kind of major, especially since he's an 8-foot-tall behemoth clad in pure black armor, and can still somehow be told off by a teenage girl. And everyone's gone through their first gates and back by now, too, so that kind of counts as plot. But this is the only thing so far that's really DUN DUN DUNNNNN worthy.

Actually, I think Black Templars sudden landing and mysterious behavior counts as plot. I talked to the GM about it and he is going to be a little important. Also, I need to make the choice between waiting till Brian gets off his fat ass and helps Mikheal because current HB has him out cold, or waking up now at the cost of going Grim Dark. And if the GM is to be trusted, he'll also go Grim Dark at any point.

Speaking of which:
Mikheal: I'll... Consider it. But if I decide to do it, I DON'T need your help with it, because I can do quite fine on my own.

>DAFUQ???:YOU THERE. GITFACE MC GIT OF GITTERTON. SQUISHY. I'M TALKIN TO YOU. SHOUT SOMFIN AT THOSE GITS TO MAK'IM GET OUT WHERE THE FIGHTY IS AT.
>PA:OKAY.

You figure that since it worked before, it'll probably work now. You start jeering and making catcalls at your enemies, and a pair of imps come at you out of the darkness. Yay?

One of the imps, wearing plate mail, charges at you and swings a mace at you, but misses completely. The other one, who appears to be disguised as some kind of boxing dummy or something, follows close behind.

> Claire: Continue beating on imp 2. If it dies, start beating on imp 1.
[1,7 + 9] = 17
[3,3 + 9] = 15 (confirm this please but wait do brutal affronts only happen on regular attacks??)
Also, in the cards department: Legendary Piece of Shit and Ruby Contraband. Alchemy stuff to come later.

You slay imp 2, then turn your blade on Imp1, confirming a BRUTAL AFFRONT, and dealing 18 damage to the startled imp.

The imp attacks in retaliation, but you move too fast for it to follow.

I'd rather not have an ogre hit me, so I'll try and crush it quick.

>CR: Charge at the ogre, and toss a whirlwind his way.

[10,7+11]=28
[3,4+11]=18
[4,6+11]=21

[6,5+11]=22 for initiative.

You rush the Ogre, dealing an unbelievable 56 points of damage to him before it can begin to guess what might be happening.
You recover from the initial confusion before any of your foes.

Johnfalcon is quite right, almost everything Black Templar does is deeply involved with the plot.
Also, being the Knight of Mind, Mikhael can resist going grimdark. One of his Aspect features is that he resists mental attacks. Provided he makes will saving throws (At -5), he could avoid going grimdark for the sum total of the adventure, even with taking the help of the Elder Gods.

"You are a credit to your race Knight, short lived though it was. However, you cannot do much as your dream self. Should you desire, we can restore you to full vitality, no strings attached. We do want your trust, after all. Of course, if you desire anything beyond that... It could be arranged."

Mikheal: ... Ok. Do it.

You snap your eyes open, back in your hallway. For a brief moment, you consider it might have all been a whacked out dream, but the ease with which you shoulder off the safe your enemy left on top of you dispels that theory. Well, at least they said there were no strings attached, right?

You don't see the guy who put you under. He's probably looking for the way up to the gates. Joke's on him, there isn't one, of course. Seems like the path to your room is clear.

RL: Sweet new gear, hell yeah!

You head back downstairs and start punching cards and carving totems. Merry Gristmas to you!

Since you're going to have more alchemy cards than your hand has room for, yes, you can try passing your prerolls to get a hand with just personal cards.

Can I shift without taking a AOO?

Shifting wll never provoke an opportunity attack, though it will allow an immediate interrupt attack from sword prototyped underlings, but in that case it's pretty much an opportunity attack.

In this case, no, you aren't in danger of opportunity attacks.

If I recall correctly, you're the one who does the rolls to determine alchemy draw success. So yeah, I want to try alchemy draws until either my inventory is full of crap or I get all 3 of my unused alchemy items.

So I finally picked what I wanted for alchemy rather than spewing out random ideas. I love the name of the second item.

Spoiler: Fool's Items (click to show/hide)

Master Tonfa is a half a point over the limit. You'll have to rethink what you want to make with your level 4 3 point alchemy.

Yeah, just did it. You passed one pre-roll out of 3, so you get 1 alchemy item, which turned out to be General Sun Tzu's index of PAIN.

Everyone's hands are updated to reflect the new draw, at least for what I could do, considering who has what, and a lot of pre-rolls were not met. We need those common cards chosen. I chose mine, and if you have not chosen yours, make it a priority.

Also, I'm gonna poke Bdthemag tomorrow, he hasn't posted since mentioning he'd gotten back from that government thingy.

>CR: Hit the ogre.

[7,2+11]=20

You strike the Ogre for 13 damage. It looks about ready to go down for the count when it turns on you, murder in it's eyes. Whoops. It explodes violently, but you manage to dodge the brunt of the attack, and take only 7 damage.

The fire Ogre steps close to the yawning edge of the inside of the volcano, and launches a fireball at you. You dodge it easily.

A meteor imp runs toward you, slashing with its claws, and manages to actually hit you, stunning everyone. You take 5 damage.

The fire imp tries the same thing the fire ogre did, with as much success.

The remaining Meteor Ogre comes running at you, skirting dangerously close to the hole in the center of the battlefield.

I just realized I swiped your hand in the middle of a battle. Whoopsi. You had your RoflTonfa, and a Hands Free computing device.

I also took the Punch Designix, which grants +.5 points for recycling an alchemy card when you make another card, in this case the ROFLTonfa is recycled, and the Master Tonfa is made.

Heys, I made a suggestion about the Universe created by this session. Please make sure it lives at least till we get into the Medium.

Edit: Alex, did you choose my characters abilities for me?
