Abandoning your plan to meet up with your team right away, you follow the map to the site of the ruins. Of course, at this point in time, they aren't really ruins. You make sure to avoid Echidna as best you can.

The temple appears pristine and new, but once inside, you find that the monitors are off, and the controls non-responsive. Nuts.

There is nothing you can find that wouldn't be found at your own home. Unless you think a mineral collection would be helpful to you.

And yes, you still need to do your alchemy.

Then again, we haven't exactly seen or heard much of Mikhael's father since his inception...

Your map allows you to traverse the landscape with ease. It's incredibly straightforward now that you have the map, but strangely, you don't understand how it was you were getting turned around when you were trying to find the way yourself. Interestingly, the gate that leads to LoSaJ is just outside Echidna's palace.
