Following Mimi's suggestion, a few of the salamanders attempt to form a lizard ladder to reach the fruit. Unfortunately, they aren't very strong, and topple over, unable to acquire fruit.

The salamander Mimi is holding up, however, takes a fruit from one of the plucked trees moving along the conveyor belt, and swallows it whole. It makes a satisfied 'glub' noise.

RL: Search Prospitan, see if they had any info on where the Dersites are leading from. Then give Prospitan a proper burial.

Hmm...

"Well, there goes plan A. Let me look around to see if there's anything else we could use."

Steve ran at the boulder, trying to jump on top to get a better view. He'd crouch down to avoid being seen while looking around. He knew there was nothing he could do for the poor smoldering man.

Acrobatics: [4,6+7] = 17
Stealth: [4,10+11] = 25
Perception: [7,8+16] = 31

The boulder provides literally zero cover. On the plus side, aside from your friends, there is no one to see you surveying the landscape. Devastation continues in every direction, but, you believe you can see actual greenery a distance to the south. You also see a fair deal of movement, which you are guessing to be underlings.

RL: Search Prospitan, see if they had any info on where the Dersites are leading from. Then give Prospitan a proper burial.

The prospitian has nothing but his (her?) clothing, and what appear to be bite marks contributing to his (her?) death. No clues here.

Alex assists you in your attempt to bury the dead.

You look around for another room you may have missed, but the factory appears to consist solely of two rooms. You don't spot anything that could be repurposed simply either. To top it all off, you can't find an off switch.

The salamanders, for their part, attempt a different tactic, attempting to form a lizard pyramid to reach the fruit. This goes about as well as the previous attempt.

"What's a carpenter?" These salamanders really aren't too bright, collectively speaking.

The group begins walking toward the place Steve saw, ready to take out some Dersites. Unfortunately, it is going to be a bit of a walk.

Double Attacku!
[9,7]+11=27
[10,3]+11=24

Your first swing finishes off the Ogre, the second striking the Basilisk for 15 damage.

The Basilisk hisses at you, but you leap over its counterstrike.

"Hm... well, as a temporary measure, let me try this."

>Mimi: Empty your sylladex of the gratuitious amount of food you're probably not going to eat anyway. Put it all in a pile and see how high it goes.

You dump out all the garbage you bought back during that sweet flash several pages ago. Man, why did you even buy all this? You decide it might be neat to see how high it would go if you piled it all up. After a few minutes of work, you realize that, as the pile is easily twice your size, you might have a shopping problem.

The salamanders dig into the pile, and after one of them makes a lucky discovery, the remaining salamanders begin burrowing into the pile looking for more fruit chips.

You don't really see the appeal yourself.

Mimi turns around and notices the salamanders digging into the food pile.

"Wait, those aren't for eating! You're suppose to climb on top to reach the fruits on the trees!" She thinks for a moment. "Although, now that I think about it, that is a lot faster way of getting delicious food than straining to reach a tree limb."
