He survived some kind of pox disease. People call him piemarked rather than poxmarked is because you like pie a lot. And your flesh was like pie for a while; fleshy, squishy insides with a crusty exterior.

Nah, Piemarked should be the name of the heroes best friend, a much-maligned pox-ridden misfit. With buckteeth.
Hero can be Ersedd Carchwood. Or something.
But we should definitely save the piemarked thing for a suitably hideous sidekick! :D

John can live under an old, abandoned wagon in a ditch just out of town. And he sketches terrifying pictures on the walls of it in charcoal. *sagenod*
And Ersedd can smuggle him food scraps to survive. Sound good? :P

Er, Weasel, if you're gonna ask for player input on names, you ought to accept them if they are agreed upon by others, rather than shooting them down immediately.

Anyway, i'm gonna suggest "Peter Fletcher" (the last name indicating trained profession).

I was saying no to them making up a character, and to piemarked, I didn't mind John.

Fletcher is an awesome last name as well.

edit- Mudfletcher would be an awesome last name for an orphan.
