"Instead of taking it from others"? With 27 people? ??? We all know how well that turned out last time...
Still, I think the warrior might have a point about the whole 'nothing worth stealing' bit. And I didn't intend for the men to forage rather than hunt, although we still scraped through. Hrmm...

Never claimed you had lots of good options ;)

The Foraging was a fluke. You got almost twice what an "average" roll should have gotten you, and it was still less than what you should get from an average hunt.

Woah - We missed the spring ritual for this year? This is an outrage!
I call for us to immediately refuse contact with the Utia until the ritual is completed - With Triple tribute. Any Utia who come by are welcome to join the celebrations, but are not allowed to disrupt it- lest they anger the gods, ours and theirs.

This is not given as a suggestion to the Chief, but a command, with the full weight of my rank and creepy aura behind it.

The wife is confined to the Yurt- The apprentice does not receive any special lessons.
Also, I want my full attention on my wounds and that of my tribesmen, plus the ritual, so no alphabet, no teaching the children, or anything for the next season.
I imagine the teens will be occupied with combat training anyway.

You understand they may not give you the option?

Edit: Yoink, I was just considering your order. Clothing for production will require flax material. You can't go out and buy it. You couldn't go out and sell clothes either. You could certainly have the head wife tell the Husband to do so.
You'd also have to figure out what you wanted in return for the clothing, seeing as you have a large surplus of food and food and wives are pretty much the only currency your village understands.

Well, I do ask them about obtaining some flax.

As for what we get in return for them, that's for the husband to decide. Low Int doesn't really help here :P

You understand they may not give you the option?

But first they'll have to consult with Their priest to figure out whether interrupting us would be very bad for them.
And then if they decide that their religion is dangerously at odds with ours, then nothing will happen that didn't usually.

Can't we just put chains on our slave-people whilever we're around the Utia?
Or Micelus could think of a brave, bold strategy which would cause a complete religious shift.

Either way, this stuff was meant to happen last season, and I am not going to risk going a year without it.

I think I suggested that....But I don't think the Utians would fall for that now...

Um...the best plan I could think of was crushing Utia with the full power of the Clan. Not very reliable...That or we pretend to attack them but actually head eastward.

The Utians were very clear that they expected the return of all the slaves.

Also, the El clan faith and Kodana faith are very, very different.

Well, this is something which I'm meant to be putting my foot down on, so I am. The ritual has to happen right now.
