Don't players have an insurmountable advantage during war?

I'd like to use my unassuming presence to head to slave yards with Micelus while he's doing his trade routes, and have a quiet talk with the slaves there.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

No. Most players have skills that vary wildly from the tribal normal. This can be good like in Arv's case, where he was a total killer with the axe, or horrible, like in Azkul's case, who can barely avoid stabbing himself with the spear. Actually only Nix is higher than the bare minimum for practical spear usage.
Ahra, Nix, and Micelus all have higher than the average archery skills. Nix matches the Tribe NPCs in Spear skills, everyone else is inferior to the tribe average. Of course the former slave has no skill at all, and he accounts for one of those individuals, so you all at least match ONE person.

Well, I feel like rejoining this. Put me as part of the Kovan, randomize EVERYTHING about my character.

...
Okay.

(Edit: Here are the details--

Unless there a major ecological disaster occurs in the area, I won't bother to keep track of your individual household food supplies, as you are self sufficient. The village is in a similar situation. It's also very populous, so unless you end up having some reason you have authority over it, I'm keeping most of it abstract. Pretty much anything over 150 population is abstracted a great deal.

I will tell you that the village you are in has a unusually high ratio of Women to Men (although 4 wives is still unusual in it), it's population is over 300, and it's the 4th village directly east of the Mokoli's old village location. (about 120 KM from it, give or take.) Your Husband was actually one of seven men from your village who took part in the attack of the Mokoli.

There you go. Completely random. Is it what you were looking for?

(Edit 2: I can also random the unnameds, if you like, but their names really don't matter to me.)

Increased fertility. That's cool, I guess. :o

I'll take a random character as well, if it pleases and does not trouble.

I'm guessing the husband is more the dashing sort, and randomize the names.

I'm also guessing I would have a bit more influence with the husband for bearing the two sons as well?

Does that mean you want to dispute your place in the Hierarchy?
Sure, you'd be liked better by the husband. That would help you a great deal if you get into trouble outside of your household or if you want something special, but under the roof, the head wife is the one who you have to make happy. She didn't used to like you as well due to the last conflict over position, but somehow she got over it real quickly. I guess she probably liked how you look too. You are not friends with her, but you aren't at odds either currently. Maybe your dashing husband is rough, and the other wives constantly push you at him? It would explain why after your arrival there were no births that weren't yours... I don't really care the reason, it can be however you like it to be. Short of you saying it's a certain way though, you all have the same number of chances of more babies (though you understandably have an increased actual chance. Good thing you don't have an increased mortality rate with it.)
Spoiler: names (click to show/hide)

The lack of a name does not please and does trouble, but I got over it. I hate to random them because I have to keep randomizing them until I get something that is fitting. I got over it though.

Why not just have them called asdfg and qwerty?

Names are good. And I wouldn't be surprised that I get pushed for that kind of thing, considering a high Str score ;D

Because I use a random letter generator, and asdfg and qwerty aren't random.

I'm starting a D&D game that takes place at the point I start to think about running the turn on Saturdays now. As a result, I will be shifting the turn generation to Sundays, starting this Sunday.

Yep. I never claimed it took me a lot to process the turns.
I swear that only takes an hour, tops. Really. No sweat at all. :)

Taricus, quick question... Does Lalia intend to do anything this spring?
Same question to you Ibid Straydrink, Yoink, and Noodlerex.

Even with the extra day, that doesn't really give you all much time to think of something creative. Of course it doesn't have to be creative, but if it is creative and I don't have time to discuss it with you, it might not go off as you expect. Like if you decided to go out of the village to gather poisonous herbs to poison that first wife of yours... it would probably affect things to know you are just as likely to grab something that is beneficial as poisonous, and far more likely to grab something that doesn't do a thing at all. So time for me to point that out for you is usually a good thing. Though if there isn't time I'll probably run it anyway and just see how it turns out.
