Alright, this season (winter, by the way) you and your wife will separate, along with everyone else who chooses, and travel in the direction to the forest until you find a suitable site. I'll check to see potential likely spots and post them. It'd be nice if I could run the whole El-Effie turn early so I can have this established in advance. So Mice, Ahra, Tack, if you could get back with any actions you intend to do regarding this split quickly I'd appreciate it.

Will there be rolls for non-player villagers with modifiers such as charisma stat?

I'm still thinking on turns but here's my reaction to the split:

Good fortunes to them. The Clan has always split and merged, tribes come and go. Some tribes even settle, although they are rare. Hopefully they'll keep their contacts with the Clan; not likely to survive otherwise.

Be sad about his departure, but wish him good fortunes. Tell him to stay with the Clan and keep contacts with it. Organize an alliance between the two tribes.

Yes, your charisma will affect how influential you are. Also affecting the situation will be the numbers who go with you and if any speak out against the separation, personal assets devoted to the separation, and stuff like that. I'm probably going to have you try to get a head of sheep per member who comes with you deal out of the chief unless you say something different, and doing well in that roll will definitely help in convincing others to go, but then again it might annoy others as well. Lots of factors to take into account. Why couldn't you just overthrow the chief instead? :)

Assuming that there isn't enough support to remove the chieftain, push for 10 sheep per person who leaves.
(I'm pretty sure a head of sheep is 1 sheep)

If there is enough support for separation from the tribe (i.e. if it came to a military confrontation they would win) , then do that instead and remove the chieftain. (but I can't know how much support there is until the turn is run, so this is conditional that there is enough support)

I'll support Azkul becoming chief/Patriarch only if you allow him to live.

I'm not talking about violence, just asking/pressuring the chieftain to resign (abdicate?), with enough actual support amongst the villagers to back the request

(i.e. a bloodless coup)

(with the object of changing the path of the tribe and transitioning to a less nomadic form)

OK, I support you. But we need to maintain ties to the Clan. We can't simply abandon them; they're too useful!

Considering that you are a friend of the chieftain, perhaps that would help to pressure him to resign?

Exactly. That's why my support is needed and why I won't allow you to kill him.

How old is the chieftain, by the way?

We'll call him 40.
The tribe's tradition is against bloodshed, so there won't be any unless someone does something weird, which would sever ties with the El Clan at large.

So is the plan now to peacefully supplement the Chieftan and settle somewhere, and split away if you can't?
Micelus and Ahra are advocating for him to step down in exchange for Azkul?
Nix's going to abstain from the voting and go with the Majority unless NRDL shows up and says something.
That leaves Tak'am and 3 other adults undecided.
3/1 with 4 undecided, as long as Tak'am doesn't come out in strongly in favor of the Chief, you all can pretty much consider it a done deal.
