Wow, you guys would be surprised how much of my "turns" turn into research about random crap, like... Shearing!
Then I gotta make some kind of way to simulate that reliably. In the end a set of numbers get pulled out of somewhere and Poof, I got an ability to find out how many pounds of wool you can extract from a sheep a year!
And now, what the heck do I do with this information?
Well shucks if I know, but I imagine the research will be the subject of another turn.
See, this is why I should keep my 1 a week schedule. This could burn me out otherwise. 4 Hours of research, crazy. Granted only about 30 or so minutes of it was actually devoted to sheep. Almache's foraging party required adjustments to my mechanics, which caused some issues, and there was other bits of research, and examining the plains that El-Effhichen are operating on right now... And I spent some time looking at other things... Actually I'd say 2 of those 4 hours were "TV Tropes Syndrome" of a research sort. I don't know why the distance from Paris to Moscow was important, but I did check into it...
Anyway.
Yes, good 'ole Buffalo drops.
Now, the turn!
Almache had another bad season. Actually this one was worse than the last one. One person is missing and presumed eaten.
Arv orders the warriors to go scout for the beast's camp, making the warriors move by night. He stays in the village recovering.
The Almache have another bad forage season. The Matron is again upset with Arv over the fact that once again the men are off worrying about animals rather than ensuring the survival of the tribe.
Again, no Almache warriors managed to get near the Moloki village. One never came back from the attempt. It was Arv's brother who went missing.
The Matron has stripped Arv of his position. There are mumblings of talking about exiling Arv, since he appears to be feeding the village to the beasts one by one for no reason whatsoever.
Arv's Family Holdings:
Arv's younger sister is the Head of her group. She holds:
4 Men (Father, Uncle, Arv, Partner)
3 Teens (Siblings)
2 Infants (Head's Offspring)
A large family dwelling
The Family is considered the last among the 6 families socially in the village.
Tribe Assets:
1 Village of 57 people.
Food for 7 Months
(EDIT: El-Effhichen's sheep herd population didn't show the 300 they gained from deals. This is fixed.)El-Effhichen have finished their summer "meetup". They won't be seeing the clan again until next year.
Micelus managed to find someone who is willing to teach Micelus for hides. The chieftain caught on to this deal though and convinced him to join the tribe in exchange for 10 sheep. He brought his wife along. With your surpurb haggling skills and the lack of any partial sheep to sell, you have bought a significant quantity of paint and paint mixtures.
Tak'am carved a hunting spear and blessed it. It appears to be of lesser quality than Nix's current spear, Nix solomly takes it. While he had plenty of free time, all the youths approaching maturity had none. The younger ones were properly tended by Tak'am and the rest of the spiritual men of the Clanmeet, therefore they were kept under adequate control.
Ahra managed to embed his hide clothing with bone. It is now Bone-Reinforced Hide Clothing. He found someone with a larger bow to trade, but he was unable to pay for it.
Azkul looked after the animals. He was assisted by the children, whom were assigned to that duty by the chief. They operated in tandum with the rest of the tribes of the clan, so the herd was adequately controlled.
Nix Hunted. He had 4 successes. With so many mouths to feed it did not go far. Nix was able to trade 1 of the 4 hides to have the rest skinned. He now has 3 hides.
73 sheep were needed to be slaughtered to feed the tribe. The Chieftain did so. The chief made deals that resulted in the loss of 30 sheep, 10 Male Youths, and 7 Female Youths. He gained the couple mentioned earlier, plus 1 more warrior and 3 Female Adults, one of which is a weaver. He has made a promise to several clanmembers for a certain amount of sheared wool in exchange for more sheep. he has added 300 sheep to the flock, but has to deliver 700 sheep or the equivelent at next Clanmeet.
Several rumors were discussed.
There was a hunting technique the Ignis-Al observed. Appearently after breeding season the stranger tribe scared a bunch of animals into a narrow canyon and blocked it with their warriors. They then proceeded to slaughter a set number of the males, enough to feed their tribe for the year. The Calfs and females were allowed to leave to maintain the herd, along with a small margin of males. It was almost like sheep herding, but without the worry of watching the flock. Of course it didn't have the wool either, which made the whole thing pointless from the point of view of the Ignis-Al.
A El-kekein tribesman talked about seeing some buildings made of stone where the woods meet the hills in the northeast. They were absolutly huge, almost twice the size of a tribal yurt! (It's a two story building)
There is talk about the superior craftsmanship of spears from a tribe far in the west. An example was brought out. It looks absolutly exquisite. The clanmember who showed it would not part with it.
There's rumors of a giant beetle with the head of a man to the south. It is rumored to breathe fire. The clanmember who talked about it insisted it was the cause of the last grass fire two years ago. He didn't see it personally, but he talked to a warrior who encountered it and survived.

Normally I wouldn't mention how critical an aid the sea otters are, since it could go either way, but the RNG hated the Humans and Loved the Otters of the Gokanloa this season. If not for the otters, this village would have to rely on their harvest to make it to next spring
Noka has found some medicinal herbs. They have been added to his inventory.
Fire assisted in the fishing.
The tribe had a decent catch. It could have been much better, but it wasn't too bad.

Mokoli had a disporportionate rate of failure in keeping their borders secure. Unfortunatly for those who attempted to infiltrate them, they have a large tribe consisting of large amounts of warriors. Just the same, there is a battle report tucked in here.
While out on a patrol, Mafun ran into an Almache warrior. The band of 5 Mokoli attacked the Almache. The Almache turned and ran, but the Mokoli kept up. The persuit continued. They caught up with the Almache warrior. One of the Mokoli couldn't keep up with the wild run. 3 Mokoli and Mafun fought the cornered Almache. They began attacking the Almache. The Almache warrior focused on one of the Mokoli and began exchanging blows. A heavy smack across the side of the head of the Almache looks painful, but the axe blow he returns isn't very nice either. The Mokoli appears enraged by this and delivers two quick club swings at the Almache, but neither appeared to hurt him. The Almache swings his axe himself, but the Mokoli warrior manages to deflect the strike with his shield. The Almache managed to keep any of his foe's allies from landing any hits against him. Another quick exchange of blows landed a solid hit against the Almache's chest. Knowing he couldn't get away even if he tried, He spat out some blood and continued the engagement. His normal partner didn't land a blow this time, instead the one to the Almache warrior's right landed the blow, distracting the Almache and ruining his own counterattack. It didn't seem to hurt him however. The frontal warrior took advantage of this distraction to land another blow. It didn't seem to affect the Almache however, and the combat continued. The right side Mokoli was waiting for the opening that the frontal Mokoli created, and delivered a nasty strike to the Almache. The Almache was struck in the head, cracking open the skull. Mafun assisted in returning with the body of the Almache to the Tribe.
Several Almache were sighted near the Mokoli village.
Several Koven were sighted near the Mokoli village.
One male child has been born to one of the Mokoli females.
Advance Kovan scouts warned of the Mokoli raiding party in time and the village was fully evacuated.
Mokoli hunters have not been successful this season.
There is a message from the Chief to Mafun. I sent a PM with it.
Village Assets:
1 Village of 131 people.
6.5 Months of food
The observant amongst you and those who doublecheck after seeing this will notice there is no change in food amounts for lost or gained people. This is because I don't want to keep track of it in any more detail than I currently do
