Too late for the spring ritual. Turn coming in about 5-10 minutes. I'm doing some cleanup works. Making sure I tracked all the inventory and herd control right.
You guys have a severe problem coming. Please include in your statements what to do if enemy armies show up. If there is enough requests for it, I am willing to do El Effichen in 6 parts. One for each 15 days. To do that, you all need to express it by monday evening. If so, I will do part of the turn each day, with the final 15 days on Sunday.
The Utia raid the El Effichan camp in the middle of the night. They managed to Kidnap Ahra's wife and the remaining male slave before the El-Effhichen managed to get themselves in fighting organization. Once the El-Effhichen are in fighting organization, the Utia give them battle. Nix gave his his extra spear to Micelus. Azkul drew his Bone Knife. Tak'Am used the Tribal Totem Staff. Ahra used his bow. The rest of the tribe weren't armed, and so used their personal knifes. The Utia have Spears. A quick exchange happens. Tak'Am takes a vicious wound from a spear, but a young boy who just came of age got a good piece of a Utia warrior. The Utia break off the engagement, but another of the former slave women were dragged off. The Utia manage to get away with their raid. They bunker down in their village with the recaptured slaves. It appears that the outcome of the conflict encouraged them not to raid again, just the same, 2 El Effhichen were permanantly stationed watching out for additional raids for the season by the chief.
The raid took place at the start of the season. Micelus and Tak'Am went to meet the Utia to negotiate. The chief, and a translator came along. The Utia made it clear they will not allow any of you into their village. They also have made it clear they will attack you if you don't return the slaves. They say that you freeing the slaves have angered the gods, and they will do everything they can to make things right in the world.
Several people were seen leaving the village about mid-season in the direction of the other city states. By the time the chief realized it was a general call for reinforcements, it was too late to stop the runners. They turned down all efforts to trade.
Azkul's wife explains to Tak'am that she believes that the Kodana worship a pantheon of deities that interact with the mortal realm like greek and roman gods. It isn't an animalistic culture, but it also isn't a sacrificial one. There is also religious tones to the enslavement of the Daluche. She believes that freeing her might have been an insult to their beliefs, although she really hopes that she isn't returned to slavery.
Micelus sheared 446 lbs of wool for the tribe.
The Halla didn't breed.
The Raven's didn't breed, although you think they were close.
Micelus and Tak'am make great progress in the development of this strange idea they call an Alphabet. They figure it won't be more than a few more seasons before they have it fully developed.
Tak'Am, your injury will take 8 seasons to heal. Every season your apprintice can attempt to speed up the healing by 1 season for every 2 success points he has. You are not capable of treating yourself.
Ahra trains with the bow and helps to control the Herd. He attempts to teach the other tribesmen bow as well, but the Chief interrupts his attempts, pointing out that spears and not bows are being made for the tribe. This means that it is a better use of the training time to work with spears instead of bows.
Azkul attempts to make bone spears for the entire tribe while watching the herd. Micelus encourages the other tribesmen to take this same action. He also has them train the moment they gain their spears.
Tak'am fulfils his role as tribal teacher, but the spring ceramony was forgotten in the chaos of the confrontation with the Utia.
One of the El-Effhichen boys has come of age.
The sheep herds have reproduced.
The Tribe as a whole are now equipped with average quality spears.

I'm trying something new with Gokanloa's food caches. We'll see how it works. Basically it'll store surplus food for 1 whole year, and then degrade at a steady rate from there. Since it isn't the standard Stock, it's assumed to be idle and not cycled through.
Fire spends his time making leviess and other defenses against wave-based natural disasters. He also starts stashing surplus food aside in caches in the area, so a regional disaster will not wipe out the tribal food supply.

Mafun, you were exactly 1 man's forage above a weakened state this season. Your forage was also above average for both men and women. Of course average for the men is still not self-sustaining and still counts as bad. I know I've been doomsaying every season, and every season you just barely manage to save off disaster, but that can't last too much longer.
The Mokoli again are out trying to scavenge up enough food rather than just go and take it from others. Noble and Honorable, but dangerous. This season it's a wee bit different though, as the warriors are now gathering food like the women. Mafun's previous aura of fear for his victory over the last challenger is gone, and he should be careful about changing things or being a failure again. Habit seems to be working for him though as his warriors forage rather than hunt.
The 15 men and Mafun failed in being very successful in the Forage effort, but not quite as badly as they have been doing in their Hunting. The Women's effort was better than expected, which managed to save the village from tightning it's belts too tightly.
One of the seasoned veterans points out to Mafun that this season of foraging they got lucky. The men are better at hunting than foraging. Also the village doesn't have anything of value worth defending, so the guards really should have been helping to feed the village.
