I had a hydroshock frag grenade take out two of my guys. Goddamn Epic mission and that level 16 soldier...

Hmm...
10 base, +10 for heavyweight, +6 for sturdy/huge calves, ~+16 for soldier.  That's 42 health.

I loved how that guy just shrugged off the direct bazooka hit and the poison. He probably could've survived that minigun burst too if it wasn't for the poison.

Also, does anyone know if waiting a day AFTER clicking upgrade but BEFORE choosin a soldier's upgrades resets the selection you get?

Well, my new spy kinda sucks at the moment, although he is a brilliant distraction.

I have the exact same problem. I think refining Preferred Victim a bit would help a lot: Setting it to "closest" doesn't work (prompts him to punch the nearest guy); setting it to easiest looks to be functionally identical to closest; setting it to weakest or biggest threat runs the risk of him either trying to back up or going for melee again. "Easiest" should be "the easiest shot to make with the preferred weapon" or something, not just the easiest attack full-stop.

It doesn't help that the other two members of my squad are snipers and can't hold a line on their own but, well, it was better than pilot.

That was one hell of an enemy Comms. Officer. Getting him off the field basically won it for you. And that sniper hanging on for that last kill at the end of the first wave...
