1  Pistol, +3 Health and gets no penalty from carrying a heavy weapon

2  Assault rifle, 20% of shots targeting will miss and he is less likely to be targeted

3  Assault rifle, takes aim twice as quickly

4  Assault rifle, no penalty when seriously injured

5  Shotgun, always does maximum damage to enemy he's already hit.

If you don't like any of the troopers, we can wait until tomorrow for different choices.

I will go with 3. Assault rifles are pretty nice if they don't sit around for ages while firing.
